This woman needs to quit blaming herself for an intruder trying to hurt her and her family.

You'd be surprised how often this actually happens. Some statistics I've seen were as high as 2 million incidents per year in the USA (not all involve firing the weapon or even pulling out of it's holster). The rarity is the media Reporting the incident.

Blessed this lady. I have never heard of a victim shooting a perp who could be capable of vastly unknown actions and still refer to him as a human being. I am not sure if I appreciate the naivety of hope in her kindness or be concerned that her message does not account for the real monsters out there who would have done more than just rob a car when exposed to a vulnerable victim.

I’m a big supporter of law enforcement but this is a classic example of, “when seconds count the police are there in minutes.” If she wasn’t armed this would have been a tragic situation.

This is crime everyday in the USA.

FBI data shows that violent crime rate fell 49% between 1993 and 2022, the same FBI data source also shows a 59% reduction in the U.S. property crime rate between 1993 and 2022. So, as many have said, you’re entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. That being said, I’m proud of and feel sorry for this grandma, glad she and her familiars sage, and what a lovely home!

Several of the women were beaten & R'd, while a knife was held at my friend's throat. He managed to get his gun, shoot & K'll 3 of them. The 4th guy was shot in the back while trying to flee the scene, paralyzing him. My friends neck was cut from ear to ear while trying to protect these ladies. The 1 surviving POS, now in a wheelchair, sued my friend. It happens. Google it, SA

Well, tbf, in America certain states are too lenient with their castle policies. Where people are shooting people who deliver meals to the wrong house or park in front of their house and shit like that. I saw some news about a group of teenagers shot in front of an elderly man’s home, because he thought they were robbers. White btw, not that that matters but they were indeed white, like himself. He was just senile and afraid of everybody plus allowed to own a firearm.
