Thanks RJ for watching me lower the quality of Knife Delights videos. I do have fun looking for the knives in flea markets and antique stores and then showing to them to Tom. The bonus is when he wants to make a video.
Great show and information! I won’t weigh in on the china stuff but you know I dislike the double nail nicks!😂 one of my top favorite steels would be CPM 10v! Thanks for a great show!!
Great show guys.. junior cracked me up. A very touchy subject that china thing.. the size of your American made knives in no way measures your patriotism or loyalty to our country. Both sides of that argument have valid points. Enjoyed the show and looking forward to the next 😁👍
Awesome show guys. I don't care where a knife is made or what the steel is. If it cuts it's good in my book. You foks have a wonderful week end my friends.
People who design knives are many however, people skilled at making knives are few. I can draw a picture of a knife and call myself a knife designer, and never made a single knife myself. Worst of all they never used a knife enough to know how it really works. Most are different in color and shapes that are copies of older knives from the past. People are looking to get rich fast and do it not knowing anything about making a knife physically. Most are flash in the pan designers and come and go like the wind. Most intend to be one hit wonders. You can see that in some of the strange knives they designed to sell. There not made to work better just to look different in most cases and work worse than older designed tools. Most designers are educated in business and advertising not knife making or knife design. Saying you cannot find a manufacture in country tells me that. If a knife maker designs a knife, they make it themselves. The good ideas become popular and mass produced by the knife maker that has more knowledge and skills than drawing pictures. Name one knife first outsourced to China and then moved to America by any designer.👍
You’re right. There are no designs like that. And you are right about the difference between makers and designers. It’s going to be an ongoing struggle in the industry. Thanks for your very thoughtful comment!
Go Tom, RJ, and Junior! 😂 great show as always! Thank you!! Appreciate you guys!!
Thanks John, we both appreciate you as well!
Great update.😊
Thanks Michael!

I thought you did a great job sharing your knives. You found some cool older knives. Plus it gives Tom something to do cleaning them up for you, lol!

Double nail nicks are the worst! Thanks for sharing your steel choice and I hope you are doing well my friend!
Hey guys, Nice to see you back RJ. I prefer 1095 high carbon steel the best. I get a great sharp edge with it.
Me too. I like that it patinas over time and gets a great edge. Thanks Chevy8man!
