Best Sonic game,that Sega never made.It's an amazing game that captures the spirit of the original Sonic games and everything what made them so good,back in the 90's.
+doubleP i can certainly feel some Sonic in there... one thing tho.. it doesn't just capture the spirit... it brings it to a new level. i'm enjoying this at LEAST 3 times more than any Sonic Game i've ever played. and i've finished the Genesis games (Sonic 1, 2, 3 & Knux) with all good endings. never thought it was possible to even nudge Sonic off my top fave spot in this genre (Ori and the Blind Forest came very close tho), but Freedom Planet just flat out beat them both combined.

This is the best videogame storytelling I have ever seen with easily one of the most submersive worlds. It has more potential than the world of sonic easily. The gameplay is like Sonic and Megaman combined

GalaxyTrail would have founded in 1993, Freedom Planet would have been originally planned for the proposed Super Nintendo CD add on, however was pushed to Sony's PlayStation when Nintendo scrapped their SNES-CD concept. It would also see release on the Sega Saturn. The game would have been published by Jaleco. It would eventually be commercially successful and GalaxyTrail would go on with sequels, "Freedom Planet II" in 1999, "Freedom Planet III" in 2000, and a sports game spin-off "Freedom Planet Soccer" in 2001. Freedom Planet would have been awesome in the late 90's, but this is much later!

Sega had their failures but they keep coming back, completely hitting it out of the park btw you can't compare a franchise with two games to a franchise that has been *running* scince the 90s.
