    We have already lost a considerable population of leopards to poaching, development, destruction of their habitat. Neither we have adequate grasslands for the cheetahs nor a decent preybase. Let's hope that they don't put the life of a glorious cat at risk of getting killed by the villagers themselves.

    • @Twobirdsbreakingfree
      @Twobirdsbreakingfree 3 года назад +2

      The loss of the leopards are due to one thing only: development. A more accurate word for development is "destruction" or "failure".

    • @theiqkhan1
      @theiqkhan1 3 года назад +1

      @Didda Loha i agree with you except that you are wrong about just the left wing being an obstruction.. the right wing is pro capitalist..the latest example of how the right wing is aiding in loss of wild life is the killing of the tigress with the two cubs just because the land on which some industrialist covettted..the diamond mining thing bunder protests that want to cut off hectares of forest for stones that can be produced synthetically is another proof of human greed.. they are already chopping off the outskirts sundarbans for resorts and farmhouses thats again capitalism and right wing
      its not the left or right wing thats responsible..
      we indians valued harmony with nature long ago

    Eagerly waiting from last 20-25 years to hear this good news. Hope this ruling dispensation will not disappoint the nature & wild life lovers, but it would have been better if they would reintroduce Asiatic cheetahs rather than African. Rate of success of the project would have been higher because of adaptability in its DNA.

    • @nishchaypallav
      @nishchaypallav 3 года назад +3

      Asiatic cheetah's numbers are already too low. Unfit and too risky for reintroduction in any place. If its saved in Iran itself that would be a big deal. Also when its population over there was in good numbers, fit for reintroduction, Iran govt didn't want it to be sent to India. Africa has good number of Cheetahs hence the risk can be taken with African species. So please do some research, things don't happen just because we think it should happen that way. Real world is different.

    In Africa, if an area has to be reintroduced with tigers and cheetahs then first smaller cats like cheetahs are reintroduced. After a couple of years when they establish a territory, larger cats like Tigers were reintroduced.
    So Kuno Palour should reintroduced Asiatic Lions a couple of years after reintroduction of cheetahs. 😁

    Everybody thank the (native) people of Africa, not acting like barbaric animals. It would be great to re-introduce the cheetah into other parts of Asia (India). But most likely it would be the African cheetah because there is not enough Asian cheetahs. Also it’s interesting that all the big cats in Asia are in Africa except the tiger. And it had nothing to do with people.
