  • A typical Calabrian recipe is the "PALLOTTE di Cabbage" or stuffed cabbage, I use the Cappuccio which has slightly whiter leaves!
    They are mostly made in January, since it is a winter vegetable!
    They are delicious, soft and with a stringy heart (the caciocavallo inside is my addition) and they are cooked in tomato sauce... a delight!
    Ingredients: x 6 Pallotte
    6-8 leaves of Savoy cabbage or cap
    300 g minced meat
    200 g breadcrumbs
    4-5 tablespoons pecorino cheese (or parmesan)
    Caciocavallo (scamorza, provola or mozzarella)
    1 egg
    Garlic
    Parsley
    500 ml Tomato sauce
    Extra virgin olive oil
    Salt and pepper
