    This is what I recommend to anyone looking to get into flying, probably the cheapest rtf hobby grade plane.
    Make sure you bind it to your bigger transmitters, these tiny ones are not full range, almost lost my Champ with one when wind took it away it just lost signal.

    • @IJustGotHere
      @IJustGotHere  Год назад +2

      For sure, bind to the best transmitter you got. I wanted to show performance direct from the box in this video. Thanks! 😀✈👍

    Very respectable little plane and great for beginners. Both my boys trained on a Sport Cub S2.

    I have three of those. Two of them are still airworthy, one is a hangar queen. I won one of them in a contest Nate and Abbey did a couple years ago. All of them bear various levels of battle scars that tell the viewer I used them as my main trainers here at my house. Trees, buildings, streets, oh my! :)

    great value and nice flyer ! The Tx light goes from green to yellow to red as the flight battery gets low...The Tx will alarm and LED flashes when Tx batteries are low...it's in the Manual 🙂 have a good one...the Red switch is a panic recovery toggle...

      Thanks for the info! I think the manual is still taped to the bottom of the Styrofoam😂👍.

    Thanks Gary. I bought a v1 a few years ago. Haven’t had much time or a good area to make my mistakes 😁. Soon I hope to though. ✌🏻

    This is the plane I basically learned on about 3+ years ago. If I remember correctly that green light will turn yellow and then red when the battery is approaching and turning low. The motor will also pulse when you reach low voltage. Pushing down on, I believe, the right stick will give you low rates (and the center light will be flashing). The plane is easily mechanically trimmed by pinching or expanding on the control rod "U" bend. Once trimmed the plane will land itself just by cutting throttle and getting off the sticks.
    One big negative... unless they've upgraded the motor you'll likely be replacing the brushed motor every 50 flights or so. Fortunately, they're cheap enough and relatively easy to change.

      That is some real handy information Bill! Sounds like you know this one really well. 👍

      @@IJustGotHere Well it was over 3 years ago that I had the plane so I tried to be careful by saying "If I remember correctly...". It is also possible that there have been some upgrades to the model that I'm not aware of having been done. It should all be pretty well documented in the owners manual.

    The transmitter light will change color when the battery gets low. Great little plane. I'm on my second one. I have flown way nicer planes, but I always love flying the sport cub. Bind it to your ix to get voltage telemetry.

    I purchased my cub at a swap meet for $30 but there was no battery or transmitter. To get it in the air I bought a couple of S1 250ma batteries then bound the Cub up to my NX8 and the fun began. Great little flyer, super fun and like you said it glides very nice.

      @@IJustGotHere I'm going to get one to fly it around our local park as it is quite inconspicuous. I have to pay $12 a year for the privilege to the local council.

    Gary what happen did you leave your Big plane out in the rain and then put it in the dryer and it shrunk? LOL I had the same plane and binded it to my NX6 about a year ago and it was a fun little trainer. Good Video as always!

      @IJustGotHere  Год назад +1

      Thanks! LOL, it is a small little plane and cheap. I'm getting kind of excited to bind it to the IX20 to see if it really will give me the batter voltage. That would be so amazing. 👍

    Well if it was windy, it wouldn't be as easy I always wait for very little - as light as it is. Can't remember but I think the light turns a ? blue. I enjoy flying mine
