What do you think of Gold Backs?
Premiums are crazy for GB but they are beautiful. I'd buy some from you
A gimmick whose time has passed. Not too be cynical, but the premiums are outrageous and they are probably 0.0006 karat or something. I think that contaminating pure gold with plastic, dyes and whatever else is in there is a step (or many) in the wrong direction. The images. especially on the Nevada issues, are stunning. I own them but only for fun, gags, gimmicks and gifts. Thanks again.✌🏻
I was excited about them at first but weary of anything being bought off the interwebs..lol idk if its worth its weight though...
I got one a few years back. Very beautiful. Reminds me of Large bills from a long time ago. I have no real interest in collecting them tho.
I’d only buy at face
Always great content guys! That box of quarters is Beautiful!!!! lol
Man you better start working on that 10 k subscriber. You doing awsome brother quality content with the educational has us flocking in. Good work
Thank you sir
Brian,
I clicked on the video without reading the title. I enjoy all the videos you’ve been making and this one was interesting and informative. I appreciate the time and effort you’re putting into this amount of content
I'm switching from silver to gold, but I gotta have more Peace Dollars..... Love them.... Excellent channel!
Another great video! Look forward to them daily.
@Vermillion Enterprises: The gold backs are a nice novelty but the premiums are too high to stack them. I may buy a set from each state just to have them but they don’t contain enough gold to warrant stacking. Great video.
I like the goldbacks as a novelty, and the art is nice.
The GoldBacks are something I would collect !
I do appreciate your videos. All so educational for me being new. Cannot wait to visit and buy when I am in Spring Hill.
Loved the education on Morgan’s. Something I want to add.
This is super informative. I don’t know Morgans well but tremendously educational. I know you’re crazy busy and I’m grateful for the time you take to do this.
Have you done a video showing the rest of your shop? I can't remember seeing one and would love to see the layout.
Very informative video! 👏
I'm a big fan of Gold Backs. The premiums ($3.89) are still a little high, but I do think the GB's will take off as more states accept them.
Enjoying your videos!
New student to the Game.... What does the term Premium mean compared to "Spot"?
Thanks bookmark go to video 👍
WOW! Very good video on the Morgans. I definitely appreciate the way you lay everything out and describe. Your prices are very, very fair and I do plan on possibly establishing a relationship with your shop and doing some business through the mail. I'm currently thinking about a qrtr gold eagle right now or possibly a platinum eagle. Also as my finances allow picking up some of the lower grade Morgans. I luv jingling them in my hands lol. As for the goldbacks I am in the middle right now cause they have a high premium. I really appreciate your videos. Thankyou
thank you
I'll be in for some more quarters soon
Me personally the smallest piece of gold I see myself stacking is 1/10th ounce. 1/10th ounce gold eagle. You always have really good pricing on them I’ve bought them all from you
Thank you
Great video and information, thank you
Very informative video as always.👍 I just picked up a beautiful lightly toned Morgan. Love those coins. I understand the concept behind the goldbacks, and they're actually pretty nice looking also. That being said, unless they could be handled somewhat like greenbacks without destroying them I'm not so sure. Foil is for show really. Coins and bullion are forever. Jmo
The goldbacks are not good, in my opinion. But I love how you show how you price things out, especially the Morgans and the junk silver. My personal favorites I shop for here in South New Jersey coin shops are 1/4 oz gold coins, 1/10 oz gold coins, 1 oz silver coins, 1 oz silver rounds and 1 oz silver bars, and yes of course, junk silver. Got plenty of Morgans and Peace Dollars so I really don't shop for those anymore.
I would only buy goldbacks for a collector item for how cool it is, premiums are too high to actually accumulate more than a few.
Great information! How would the same grade/condition peace dollars be priced compared to the morgans? I have no interest in gold backs at this time.
we are going to try to do peace dollars tomorrow
And how often do you buy Rolexes in your store? Is it often or once in a while?
good question....probably a couple a week i suppose
Hey Brian, thanks for the very informative video. As for the gold backs, I really don't have any interest in them myself at this time. I tend to focus on the 1 oz silver and gold coins, mostly American eagles and britannias.
I had a question. What is your approach on graded bullion pieces? If graded silver/gold Eagles came in for sale, are the premiums higher? Or are the prices comparable to ungraded coins?
never did care for graded bullion that much....paying a premium for a piece of paper just does not make sense to me....however having said that we base buy/sell prices off of what they wholesale for
What about ancs? It seems to be a big shift with people going to them for grading because of the backup in discomfort with PCGS and NGC
good thing about ANACS and ICG is that they are much faster than NGC and PCGS
Wish your website showed what you have for sale- I've been going through my collection to roll sovereign silver coins, 90%, and slabbed Morgans into gold.
I'm in Pensacola area, so not that easy to just stop by...
GEG
Hello We are working on it...stay tuned...thank you for your viewership
@@vermillionenterprises
Yeah man!
I'm in no hurry, but like what you show of your scene...
It's about five hour drive from Pensacola to your place- if your website was more in depth, might get me on the road.
Your silver buy prices would have me actually taking the toll bridge if you were local!
Much Blessings & Luck,
GEG
As for Gold Backs. Not something for myself but maybe something for the grand children to try and spark an interest into collecting...
Do you offer free insured shipping?
Hello SH just depends on the order, be happy to help
What are benefits of buying or owning rare and high end coins compared to just stacking metals?
i am believer in stacking metals or numismatics, because it is so hard to overcome the premiums that are put on collectable numismatic coins
Kind of waiting to form my opinion on the holdbacks as well. I think it sounds and makes perfect sense, yet I still haven’t been excited enough to buy any. Still something about hearing my metals clank.
do you think morgans are at a high .. are do you see them going higher
they have been higher before....premiums are very high right now on all US minted coins....i do believe they will come down again....but not for a long time
Personally I only consider them as a collectible art item since they are at such a high premium.
I love silver dollars, but I would pass on gold backs. Foreign fractional gold has a lot of sizes, variety and history and they are proven, so I would lean towards those over gold backs. Thanks for another great video!
Are the 1964 jfk 50 cent coins harder to get?
not at all
No on gold backs yes on Morgan dollars
It would be nice if the banks gave out goldbacks.
i do not care anything about them nor will i ever be adding them to my stack-o-lection
Oh my, Morgan and Peace Dollars are my favorites. The Goldbacks…total waste of money. I put them in the same category as gold plated coins…just a scam.
I don't get the reason for goldbacks. Silver serves the same purpose.
god collection!
I don't care for Goldbacks, good for gifts but not to stack.
Gold backs not realy🤔
Gold backs are LAME
Goldbacks are overpriced gimmicks. No respectable coin/bullion dealer would offer these as a legitimate form of bullion to their customers.
