I agree with the way that you have things packed except for the sleeping bag I would place it in a dry bag compression sack also to keep it dry also plus also include a tent or tarp for shelter
Thanks, Robert. I go back and forth on the dry bag for the sleeping bag. I own one that I use if I know it's going to be miserable wet for the duration of my trip, but it's not a compression sack. I like to allow it to form into all the weird pockets between gear in my bag rather than trying to fit gear around a nice tight ball of a sleeping bag. Also, you can see what I was using as a shelter at 15:34. I've got a couple tarps to go along with a mesh bivy sack. I've since changed this setup to use the Skyscape Trekker made by Six Moon Designs. I've only got one season in the tent but I really like it. Thanks again for your comments. I'm always interested in improving my setup.
They work great! Give it a shot. Much better than a rigid bottle. You can burp the air out so they don't slosh around while you're moving. I've never had a Sawyer leak, but I did have a Platypus come apart where the plastic is welded together. Just something to keep an eye out for. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks. I think you gave me the last bit of motivation I needed. I've been thinking of making another video and might have something up this weekend. Got a bunch of thoughts on the newer Eberlestock packs.

I like your water bottle idea. I've never thought of ditching the Nalgene bottle or plastic bottles, but with those Sawyer are an awesome idea.

tourniquet is great to have
How have you been carrying your rifle? Have you used the rifle scabbard or anything similar that works?
Great review Travis.
ORBirdman Thanks, Jason!

I did not think you could pack three days worth of gear and food into that pack. Time to reevaluate my packing.
I run pretty lean, but I'm always comfortable.
what brand of jacket is the puffy?
Oh man! Sorry I missed this question. The puffy jacket is made by Stoic.
