You can safe yourself a lot of time by using "Transform" under the Effect/Distort&Transform menu for repeated objects with the same rotation. Be sure to add the desired amount of copies at the bottom of the popup, set the angle on the rotation, move the object by the desired horizontal and vertical amounts, and watch the magic with the preview turned on.
A MacBook Pro is where you would ideally want to start. If that is a little too out of your range, you can also get an Ipad with an apple pencil and use adobe Illustrator that way! Some things are easier to do on a laptop vs. a tablet, but they both get the job done! I know my reply comes a little late after your question and you may have already purchased something, but this is my suggestion as a fellow illustrator and graphic designer!
Art Student here. So about Dalle 2, am I in trouble or should I continue on with my studies? Moreover, what do you think the future holds in store for specific artists
@@danygartman DALL E 2 is a new AI system that can create realistic images and art from a description in natural language. For some time I've been aware of AI-generated art, including the first iteration of DALLE. I've always found it impressive, but DALLE 2 raised the bar quite a lot in regards to quality and accuracy, so much so that's it somewhat concerning me. If that's what AI can do today, one can only imagine what it'll do in the future. So I came here searching for your guys' opinions. Should I continue my studies, alter them, or does my artistic future look bleak?
@@kuvvatashyrov2677 There are many advancements in the field of web design where a complete layman can come, pick a theme and just fill it with content, rendering a lot of web designers/developers 'obsolete'. In reality, it's not as bleak as that since - just as it will be with AI art generators - there's still a lot of fine tuning, details, creativity which simply elude the AI / neural network. And some work that people commission you for, if we're being objective, is menial and almost automated and in that regard the question is raised do you really want to be making small money on the side and spending time doing those? We automated a whole lot of physical manufacture, especially menial repetitive stuff and we're better off. My point is that you shouldn't fear for your work, if anything, even if the worst comes to shove there will always be a sleuth of clients who are against AI-generated stuff and prefer working with humans. I too have been following developments in neural networks, deep learning etc and it can be frightening but just like one shouldn't be discouraged to keep pushing for their own career and life in spite of the pandemic, the war etc, the same goes for pushing regardless of these developments. There are also a lot, really a lot of niche fields where you can use your art and illustration knowledge which will escape the grasp of AI generated art for many years to come, so don't worry. Just keep working on yourself, and use these fears as fuel to be more creative and keep pushing your limits. And remember, if your artist future looks bleak, pretty much every artist's future does. So if things really go south, we can have an artist revolution and bring back medieval times together :D
Cool ilustration👌You could have saved some time by designing one half and then ctrl F and ctrl v and then transform and reflect hotizontaly and join things in the center, since most of the design is simetrical. The assemetrical parts could be added later on.
The pen tool extreme closeup with the overlayed shitty-flute music is the most perfect representation of working with that tool that I've ever seen.
Hey man thanks a lot. I was really overwheld and confused but now it all makes sense. Thank you.
But also fab design and music toned down at the end - badass work!
always like how your art that so bold looking yet calming at the same time..
You seem really friendly, kind smile, and great tutorials!✨
I've always wanted to watch one of these illustrations in progress. Thanks for sharing. This reminds me of DC Talk's "In My Mind's Eye".
I came for videos on "how to be more efficient in Illustrator" and it got me here. Not disappointed. This is bad-ass and very helpful.
Goregeous illustration work-just discovering your channel for the first time. Can't wait to watch and see more new creations!
You are one of my favourite artists! Really inspiring ❤ thank you for sharing your process!
thank you!

Amazing work, your rubick artwork is always in my heart 💖
I've missed your videos. Hope you make more. It's very educating and entertaining.
Hope you make other videos in the future like how do you choose colors, tips and tricks in illustrator, where to get inspiration etc.
Thanks for video and your great job!!!!!
Really nice video bro
Great work.
Thank you!
Just design half of it on the right, then duplicate it and join the vertices at the center. Saves you half the time bro.
watch more and learn more your are great thanks.
wow what a cool process.
Very cool man, very cool.
Thanks
It was awesome. Thank you
Great work!
Great tips, Dan!
Very good, it looks like you mostly use shapes and use the computer to make your composition, as well as design.
great video.. can you pls do a video on the color scheme.
Really enjoyed this thank you - very inspiring! :)
Cool!! Can you do more of these sir?
Great work. Would have been cool to put dots or halftone dots in the sunflowers.
This is really useful for me man!
Amazing 🥰😍😍😍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great
Finally new video :D
0:45 Where does this clip come from? It's funny as heck!
More Videos PLEASE.
Cool!
I wish there was something like this for Inkscape.
How do you do that technique where you basically clip mask in the bee stripes?
Or was that just what it was, a clipping mask?
yes, clipping mask ;)
Beautiful illustration. 😍 I am thinking to get a new MacBook to learn illustrations. May I ask your recommendation of specs ?
I had no worked on Mac for a long time, so unfortunately I can't suggest you nothing.
@@danygartman Thanks

😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
how long you made it?
it's hard to count because of recording for YT, a couple hours I guess
soft!!!
Sa. TNice tutorials quarantine is making question my whole existence.
if you try to focus on symmetry, why not draw only ONE side containing all the elements and then spoof them around digitally
obvious if would draw only one side I don't see full composition and can't achieve appearance that I want
@@danygartman composition can be done moving the objects around in the program, no?
@@creepshade yes
@@danygartman then why bother drawing both sides when composition can be made in the program, since you want to work in symmetry
@@creepshade because of my religion
Thanks great - but music too distracting
keyboard instead of the draw tool
Just get Procreate in IPAD, and then you can sketch it as the finished graphic!!! You don't have to import it or anything.
