Carbon fiber and Steel are a bit difficult to come by some times, the easy way to get them is "dismantling" (Not scraping) walls. BTW try to buy a derelic ship(an undiscovered one) at the ship broker, some times there is a big derelic ship at a low price, like a $1 mill ship at $150K. The fun part is that you can fully restore the ship (instead of selling the parts that you scavenged, use them to restore the ship), buy a transponder for that ship, sell your old ship and take the bigger one. To me flipping ships it's like the next step of the shipbreaker career.
You can't always surrender for crimes. I have at least two playthroughs that were ended by 1) having an outstanding warrant and/or 2) being wanted dead or alive on KLEG. Tried surrendering to LEO, tried surrendering to the Magistrate. Each time, I'd go into that surrender position, the LEO would get bored and walk away, and I'd still have warrants, still get tackled, beaten, or shot as soon as the next LEO saw me. Even if the surrender went through, I got 'fined' (no funds lost) cuz the warrants were still there. So, start the next playthrough and seek adventure.
I was also not able to do so with the random officer. However it seemed to work at the station manager. Hope this helps folks get past that "bug". Give this a try and hope it works for you.
Great Question and I am also still curious of this. I notice a price difference but have yet to find the specific reason beyond color. lol. Maybe storage but I do not think so. The two I have use same items such as batteries and O2 and I can swap it between them.
I've read on the Ostranauts Discord that certain suits have an armor component to them (like the dark ones the law enforcement wear). But I don't think you can see that in the game interface, only in the json files within the game directory. It would be a nice addition to see some of those stats as flavor text in the game.
Does anyone know how to fix the stutter if at all possible? What causes it? Is it a driver issue or part of the current build? Appart from that im in love with this game.
hmmm. I am not seeing much stutter or lag. Are you seeing it at all time or just when flying. Hope someone can help and you out or that some updates clean it up.

Good to know. Just gotta get some initial cash saved up. Hope to make some good money off the PDA info I have been storing up.

I heard the game has a beta version that might help. I just do not want to mess with my saves.
