Hi Nik, Bathsheba has definitely come into her own. Those blooms are lovely. It's unusual to see so many roses in flower at this time of the year isn't it? My generous Gardener has lots of flowers. Admittedly they're only small but it gives a bit of colour on these dreary days.

Hi Wendy! This Bathsheba surprised me by flowering around Christmas in her first year. My Generous Gardener is to the right of Bathsheba, but as you can maybe see, it is not flowering. But this is a north-facing fence, so I take what I can get! The Sweet Honeys are what has amazed me, in their first year and with plentiful glossy, healthy foliage and a really good display of attractively-shaped blooms so late in the year. I have just given away the last of about a dozen potted DA roses grown from cuttings last autumn, just in time to make room for some new bare roots. I'm looking forward to next year's display now, hoping it's a lot better than this year's! Thanks for watching and putting in a comment.
