I have intentionally run lights to get away from someone who was either chasing me, stalking me for no reason, or road raging. The law in some states here in America state that even if I initiated a road rage incident, once I retreat, it’s over, regardless of how the other driver feels or reacts. So, if I run from a person who is raging, they no longer have a defense.

I’m actually a truck driver out of Nashville and I drive overnight between 65-70 hours a week which the DOT has an hours of service timer that you must obey and I see some crazy things on the roadways at night. Unfortunately mostly a lot of fatality DUI accidents of the interstates

This made me think of the late 60s - early 70s when I was a kid.
There was a lot of trucks being hi-jacked here in the USA. They would stop trucks and just take them leaving drivers by the roadside. It got so bad that truckers only traveled in convoys of 10 or more trucks at a time. We traveled a lot as a family and we kids would be awestruck by all the big trucks.

That tornado in Horsham is about 15 miles from me. I remember that day. We had a lot of tornado watches and warnings. Was a scary day as we typically don’t get tornadoes here, although we’ve been getting them more and more.

I remember that day as well. I am curious what a Cat. 4 hurricane in Louisiana has to do with it. Do you remember if they happened at the same time and if there was a relation between the two. Usually they're tropical storms by the time they reach us.

@@mindigd I believe it was that same system that hit us as a tropical storm, I remember we had really bad flooding with it too.

This is one take, Kabir, where I just can’t agree with you. People who genuinely want a better life DO NOT antagonize, threaten, or attempt to harm others. I have ZERO sympathy for these people who don’t do things the right way. They want entry into the UK - go through the proper channels.

An F5 tornado can pull up a building leaving only the foundation. They can toss train cars (it happened in the 30s)and tear the tracks up from the ground.

Truckers go thru so much. My late uncle was a truck driver and once on a run a vehicle was rear ended in traffic right into his gas tank. A woman was inside and the veh instantly burst into flames. He couldn’t drive at all for a while after that and would never go down that stretch of Hgwy ever again.

Kabir, with all due respect, those immigrants were illegal immigrants or they wouldn't have to hijack a truck, so they don't deserve your pitty of " oh they probably just trying to start a better life for themselves." If they wanted to start a better life they wouldnt start by breaking the law, so no, no sympathy. Get caught go to jail.
There are scumbags all over and not just because of COVID, COVID just made it easier to be scumbags because no one was and still aren't locking them up.

Russian videos of pedestrians getting hit by vehicles is the harshest. There's nothing more horrifying than seeing a human form flipping end over end in the air like a boonerang. It's truly horrific. I'm surprised it's allowed on YT.

I see more spectrum of human behavior (including the occasional expression of love, what they call "kindness") in a day than, apparently, you have seen in a lifetime.
