- A chance to see the new Northampton Bike park a couple of weeks before its opened to the public.
The Northampton Bike Park will feature a range of facilities for all abilities of rider, from a skills area for children on balance bikes, up to the most demanding trails for experts in mountain and BMX biking, all free to use.
Fantastic work other councils please take note 😎
When is this opening please?! Everything still says ‘End of August’ and we’re now middle of September? Its most unlike Northampton council to be lacking in communication 😂

The ppl there will defo stop it most mountain bikers are anti motorized vehicles on trails

Went past today on a walk and saw afew people riding it without helmets and 2 electric motocross bikes! This park NEEDS staffing for it to thrive! I said from the off and even on the questionaire that was sent out before it was confirmed that it should be "pay to ride" and completely fenced off
What's the problem with them? Do they ruin the trails, or is it just the elitists wanting to get rid of them? How are they any different to electric MTBs?

I went and rode all the trails on this park at the weekend and was not impressed with all the trails being covered in dolomite. Far to sketchy with no grip anywhere .
It will always be called the golfy wed go and drink and ride MOTOR BIKES 😂
I presume anyone with a bike is not going to use the expensive car park.
Look at the council taking credit for this when they took down the other jumps that people had built because certain busy bodies had complained!!! There was no.more significant danger to them as to what there is with these !! Northampton council need voting out time for some fresh input I think 🤔
So what Northampton really needs is a proper skate/bmx park,I think it is quite appalling what was built in Northampton,what it cost and only really caters for skateboarders yet no half pipe,look at places like saffron Walden a real small town and light years ahead these can be build by developers wishing to build homes so come on council get a proper skatepark built
Aaaaaannnnnndddd it's ruined! 1st day amazing, second day full of chav kids on Carrera bikes doing wheelies with no helmets! We need staff on-site! The signs say "no helmet no ride" but who's to stop it?
