Love Ryan’s analysis of the 2019 film. it’s not a bad movie because it’s feminist or has a political message; it’s a bad film because it tries to spread a message without being compelling, nuanced, relatable, or even entertaining.
1974's Black Christmas is a horror staple. Iconic but underrated doesn't even begin to describe it. Psycho and Black Christmas are the reasons we have the modern slasher film. The reason we have Michael Myers, Leatherface, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Kruger, Charles Lee Ray, Ghostface, and even the T-800 and T-1000. All would not even be, let alone be what they are without Black Christmas. The two remakes should be ashamed of themselves. Despicable films. If you want a true black Christmas film, watch the original and Dave Mcrae's fan film. Both are absolutely perfect. Fan film isn't even close, it's a legitimate production just not backed by a studio. Great video Ryan.
I found there's been a lack of Christmas-themed horror film reviews this year, and I really appreciate you making reviews of Black Christmas, Jack Frost, and even Thankskilling. I know you might think to yourself why you're reviewing movies like those instead of more "mainstream" ones to get you more views, but these are the type of reviews that your long time fans like myself and others really appreciate. Keep up the good work, and looking forward to watching your videos whenever they drop.
I consider, Black Christmas 1974, to be a classic horror film. I remember seeing the first remake and not being impressed or entertained. I am so happy to say I didn't even realize there was a 2019 version and want to thank you, Ryan, for again taking one for the team and saving us from viewing that garbage!
I love the original. Try watching it alone late at night. When the film ends, you will feel this creep's presence in every room. I don't mind the 2006 remake. The last one can stay in the trash. They even managed to make a lamer version of the Exorcist 3 jumpscare. It's just awful.
Ryan, you are validated for your reasoning on 2019, Black Christmas. If anyone at all takes down your critique on this film, you have me and many many others to back you up.
Ryan, could you make an extra video?, i would love to hear your review on the new It’s Me Billy: Part I & II (Sequel to the original Black Christmas) Krampus would be nice too🎄🎉 Happy Christmas !!!
Black christmas 2019 was such... a regressive movie. as a feminist myself, like a actual one movies like black christmas 2019 hurt our cause by existing and i wish Hollywood would relieze that
I’ll be honest the “we are not crazy, just men” Line is pretty funny out of context, it would make for a great meme template. “When the group chat gets leaked”
You're a bit too harsh on the 2006 remake, ot was campy fun and there were some behind the scenes shenanigans (thanks Weinstein) and it deserves more than an expired Potato Chip critique.
This channel deserves more views. Commenting for the algorithm.
i agree
The original Terrifier 3.
Also Happy 10 year Anniversary of the Channel Ryan 🎉🎉🎉
Oh I get what your saying.
Terrifier 3 is edgelord trash
The original Black Christmas will forever haunt me

It's Me Billy 1 & 2 are unofficial sequels to Black Christmas 74.

Appreciate it! I love doing these vids. Plus I need to make younger viewers aware of the classics.. like Jack Frost! 😂

I just watched black christmas 1974 the other day and I love it. I'm so glad you're talking about it rn
One of my all time favourites.

The two remakes are shameful. The original and Dave Mcrae's fan film are the only two worth watching. 2006 and 2019 are just awful.

You're not being too harsh on the remakes :D
Watched this for the first time this year, great film

Great video ps do you know supernatural
Ryan could you review the movie Hush? By Matt Flanagan.
I’ve only seen the 2006 remake, but I can’t remember it at all.
Oh wow, that 3rd movie looks absolutely horrendous, I think you’re right, it looks like the worst movie ever made.
As someone who hates eye gore, the 2006 one will not be watched.
Sister/daughter hahaha, which do you think he introduces her as?
Not sure but Agnus calls him "Daddy" 💀
😮

The original is so good the second is okay the third was definitely taken over by feminists 😂
I would offer some intellectual insight into these movies but.... me man... me dumb... would only oppress the wamen...
