I love listening to Jerrys wisdom. This is a great interview. Thanks
Glad you found our talk with Jerry valuable. Thank you for watching and checking out Excess Returns.
The channel "Top Traders Unplugged" that Jerry Parker mentioned in the interview has many interviews of former Turtle traders. I listen to them about 2 years ago. There was a book mentioned: "The Complete TurtleTrader: How 23 Novice Investors Became Overnight Millionaires" - Michael W. Covel. This book came out in Feb. 2009. There is also a 6 years old interview of Jerry Parker on the "Chat with Traders" channel.
Which interviews on these channels would you please recommend?
I first read Turtle Traders 5 years ago. It remains one of my favorite books along with Memoirs of A Stock Operator. Thank you for sharing Mr Parker and thank you to the channel for interviewing.
Grounded, humble, unmoved by volatility. Ever youthful
I've listened to all of Jerry Parker's interviews- this is honestly the best one I've ever heard. Really great 'to the point' questions combined with clear, and concise answers- Really Good Job! Very enjoyable ...
Is Petey litter trained.............?
Thank you very much @YesTrader2. Very nice to hear positive comments like these!
Jerry has longevity and patience others lack
For speculation in things like Gold / Silver / Oil or Crypto ETFS where a value investor would have no intrinsic value to get at trend following makes sense as a way to navigate these securities. I would be curious to find out if they consider Trend following to be different from Momentum investing or not and if so, if they also use what they call Momentum strategies in parallel.
In these podcasts, Jerry show your track record chart since the beginning, like early 1990s
