Your videos are among the few things that keep my Wanderlust at bay between trips. I didn't know Zagreb is that beautiful, though I'm not surprised because Croatia is one of my favorite holiday spots.
Thank you very much! Where would you like to go next? We ended up really enjoying Zagreb. It didn't feel overcrowded, the architecture was cool and lots of green spaces. Oh and the food was incredible.
The next big dream are the Azore Islands... however, this year I'll settle for a couple of shorter trips close to home. (fortunately, Croatian food isn't too hard to come by here in Austria :) )
Outstanding and well done as usual. Your cinema & graphics/sound production skills, outstanding on-screen persona, and overall production efforts & quality do not go unnoticed.
I live near Split and wasn't that often in Zagreb....so it is quite nice to see videos like this :) You two seem really cool. Hope you had a great time in my country.
Thank you! We had a great time visiting Croatia and we recently got to visit Split and Dubrovnik. We'll have videos about that coming out in a couple of months.
Watching this video, as well as the videos for Hungary and Poland. These videos will give me some ideas as to where to go, and what to do. As always, very informative videos.
I haven't been in Zagreb since we left Croatia in 1995 and moved to Canada, but will be returning for a visit within next couple of years. I just wish to thank you for your capture of your travels throughout the area where I lived. Footage is amazing, the camera you use really captures everything in HD, and you explain everything really well. It is nice to see you guys care. Cheers and happy travels! (PS> The coast, in the summer time.... place to BE! Have lots of fond memories there).
I just love your videos. You two are so likable and cute, and very informative. I'm from Zagreb, and I had no idea about that restaurant :D I'll have to go now! Even though you visited some great places, there is still so much to see: the Croatian national theater and the Croatian State Archives which is, for me, probably one of the most beautiful buildings in Zagreb....there is so much to see in this small city.
Thank you very much! Please check out that restaurant and let us know what you think. I agree with you about the architecture. We also love how pedestrian friendly and green the city is. We really enjoyed visiting.
I love the French, but the crepes are definitely more Croatian and Slavic then French. They're made all the way from Croatia to Russia, all the sudden Napoleon comes by and says they're French and of course everyone calls them French... wtf
Nice! You mentioned almost everthing worth visiting in Zagreb! About the coast - if you're planing to go island hopping be prepared that it's out of the season so many ferry connections are not available... (on the island od Rab is a great Christmas market!)
Loved the video of the male statue fountain holding I don’t know what. Sam looks like you like to wear hats I do it sometimes long travels and have take it off to enter another country and hate losing that comfort of taking it off after a long travel.
Wow, thanks for taking the comments from these cooool couples. The link below is the “2018 Zagreb Christmas Market” I made. Merry Christmas! ruclips.net/video/3WxDsE7lcFk/видео.html
Hi. Thank you for the video. I have a couple of questions. I don’t think I caught the name of the Restaurant where they plated the truffle risotto at the table? Also, do you still have the link to the airbnb you stayed in? I would like to see the exact location of it as well as look at others close by as you seemed to be in a perfect location to see all the sights you showed in the video. Was it far from the airport? What kind of public transportation is available?
Currently visiting Zagreb and noticed your message. It's about 10-15min from the airport. It is truffle season in September I guess, so I've noticed most restaurants have at least one dish on their menu with truffles. I had ravioli truffle last night, so good! There are taxi's buzzing around town and a blue train/trolley that runs all over downtown. Havent had any issues speaking English here and the locals are very welcoming. Great city to visit!
Thank you so much for the reply. We ended up going to Dubai instead. The travel time worked better with our schedules. I’ll keep your suggestions in mind for future travel. Thanks again!!
And I’m back!! Croatia is back on the list as there was an error fare and I booked it for March!! Very excited!! What else would you recommend there? Did you venture out of Croatia at all? I know Istanbul and Montenegro are fairly close right?
guys....for your subscribers....about my hometown....this will be long...hahahaha... tkalčićeva street 100y ago was red light district. st.mark church is from 13th century and idk if you have noticed, audry when you were filming the church you were in front of Banski dvori(government) and on that side of the church, lets say left of the main gate, there are markings on the floor....legens say that Matija Gubec,a leader of peasant revolt against slavery,1573 was egzecuted in that spot.the markings are of his chair where he was crownd with blazed crown and cut in four pieces.... another thing you didnt see in zagreb is Lotrščak.it is a tower, originaly called Tower at Dverce(dverce is western gate to the upper town, stone gate is eastern)tower useto had a bell that rang in case of theft....nowdays it has a cannon.a cannon fire is marking noon since 1.1.1899. and it didnt fired only twice. on the end of the video,a guy on the horseback is King Tomislav, first Croatian king crowned 925 a.d.....and we were kingdom until 1918.so almost 1000y. the Lenuzzi horseshue is made from three squares and King Tomislav`s square is the last. at the stone gate if you have noticed chains conecting pillars....these chains are ancor chains from Bounty....yes the Bounty....and there is also one more thing that many my felloy citizens dont know....at 2pm every day the lesser bell from cathedral rings comemorating Battle at Sisak 22 june 1593 when every bell in Kingdom of croatia rang when our army finaly defited ottman army and freed the homeland after 300 y fighting!from that day forward that bell is ringing every day in ¸14.00h and for the end Zagreb is 38km long and 22km wide, total area 642km2.1990. it had 1750km2 and it was big as new york.today zagreb is most populated city in croatia and it is second largest city after Gospić

Those "crepes" are actually VERY Croatian! We call them palačinke and most European countries have their own versions. I grew up having them with jam and ricotta.

Zagreb has come a long way over the last 18 years. If it wasn't for the war for independence and that global economic meltdown of 2009, which was brutal for Croatia and lasted all the way to 2014, much of Zagreb's old town would have been completely renovated like in Ljubljana. Slovenia didn't have to go through a whole devastating war like Croatia did. Slovenia's economy was left in tact, while Croatia's was completely decimated. But the country has come a long way since the end of the war in 1995 and especially since 2000 when Croatia transferred power from a wartime government to one that was focused on taking Croatia the EU and NATO. If it wasn't for the war, today Croatia would be 2-3 times as wealthy as it is today (Wealthier than Slovenia is of Croatia today) and would have joined the EU and NATO at the same time as Slovenia. The financial gap between Croatia and Slovenia is getting smaller, thanks to Croatia's thriving tourism and IT Sectors. ruclips.net/video/WIui_7ArZSU/видео.html - ruclips.net/video/XvjvYzzBh-k/видео.html - Rimac Automobili is the world leader in EV technology, ahead of Tesla Motors.
