- Welcome back to another trip report! This review will be covering my flight aboard United Airlines 737-700 from Newark to Orange County, California.
I've flown on United's 737-700 many times before, but never on a flight of this length. In the past I've found the cabin's to be very tight and not all that comfortable. I sure hope I survive the roughly six hour journey between EWR and SNA!
I'm watching this right now... flew this plane many times from Houston to Bogota... and I found it clean & on time... with very cool inflight entertainment.....still watching...
Oh yeah? I flew it another time and my shoes actually got stuck to the ground the floor was so bad. The old school Direct TV was nice back in the day, but it’s about time that it was replaced. Thanks for watching
Lovely report as always! Enjoying your reports more and more from video to video! :D
Thank you!
Very nice to see the interior of this AC. Looks great!
Thanks!
well done! enjoyed this report!
Thank you!
Superb catch...Thumbs UP! LIKE!!!
Thank you!
Very good trip report! I liked how you described your experience and explained your remarks. I am surprised you just had a snack during your flight. This is what you expect on a budget airline. As per the new livery, well it's ok.
Thanks for watching! US airlines definitely need to service better food, especially on longer flights like this.
@@nycflyertravel I think so. A six-hour flight is possibly too long to be consider just domestic even if there's no borders to cross.
I’ve departed Newark many times, security is pretty hectic there more often than not. As for the 737, I’ve flown on one of United’s -800s and it was cramped just as badly with no IFE. I like the new livery too!
Very nice review my friend!
Thanks for watching!
a great and very high quality video. great work mate! big like:)
Thanks! I really appreciate the support!
Nice Trip Report! A big like from me!
Thank you!!
Good stuff man! I definitely agree that UA needs to step up their service, we never got any meals on my ORD-HNL-ORD flights either! I got some UA reports coming up soon as well to/from EWR. Also, proud to say I'm your 300th subscriber :)
Thanks for watching and a major thank you for helping me cross the 300 subscriber line!
Excellent video!!
Thank you 🙏
Loved this trip ! i like the 737-7s they feel more like private planes !
Thanks for watching! Yeah the 737-7s are so small
Great video mate! Liked and subscribed!
Thank you! I've subscribed to your channel too!
Your welcome and thank you!
great video mate , liked
Appreciate the support my friend!
Nice video! Man that seat pitch is tight.. it’s crazy that they use this plan on these long flights. Definitely agree they should give something more than just a little snack and drink. Plane looks pretty worn as well, such a shame
Regards,
Brendan
Thanks for the comment Brendan! Agreed, this 737 definitely needs a facelift and more than a snack should be handed out. These flights can be pretty expensive and a lot of full service carriers in Europe will give you a sandwich or something even for a one hour flight.
Nice upload , thanx for share ...
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Thank you for sharing this video. I live in Orange County and am planning my first, once in a lifetime vacation to New York City. This is literally the same plane, at the least same model, that will be flying me to NY.
In John Wayne Airport, there is also an American Airlines flight that flies to JFK, an Airbus A321 Sharklet. Compared to that one, United Airlines offers seat selection for a smaller fee. However, after seeing your video, I might consider going with American Airlines; that 737 looks like an older plane whereas the A321 is a bit nicer with modern amenities.
On the postive side, I am glad John Wayne offers direct flights to NYC. This means I do not have to travel to LAX and find a ride to take me there or take the train to LA Union Station and take a FlyAway bus to the airport. 😂
Thanks for watching. I don’t think the American A321 would be that much nicer than what United is offering. Although, it might be easier catching public transportation from JFK. Enjoy your trip!
Like 22 nice airport video , thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Nice video, looking forward to try that one on newark to Mexico city it gets sent the -700
Thanks!
@@nycflyertravel i just flown and was a bit outdated, but a very nice product
Cool video!!!
I didn’t even know this route existed
Also at the time of writing (Nov 24) my power is out!!😫😫
AlaskaAirlines 17 thanks for watching bud! Hope you’re power comes back on soon.
Yeah it just came back on!!!
Thankfully 😅
AlaskaAirlines 17 great!! 😁
Nice video
Thanks for watching
Such a well coverage. It's sũh a shame that they didn't serve anything other than a small snack on this long flight, not even a menu to buy anything (as I seen).
Yeah there was a menu to purchase things but on such a long flight a real meal should really be provided I think. Thanks for watching!
I think US carriers are trying so hard to cut down their services, but sad that the prices doesn't not decrease much.
737-700 is very rare for me. Only B737800 and 900 version in my country.
The 800 and 900 are nice versions
Cool! Did you enjoy the flight?
Nah, the cabin was too tight and really needs an update. Thanks for the comment
NYC Flyer Oh ok. You’re welcome!
If you want to go on a United 757-200 with Polaris transcontinental from EWR, you should fly to LAX. Economy on te 757 is nicer.
What was the number of your seat row.
Snack for a 6 hour Flight? I cannot. Haha. Anyway, it's a good experience. It's ok if this is a low cost airline. I like the livery though.
..and the armrest remote ✌control
Yeah I totally agree. I can understand not providing a substantial mean if you’re flying with a LLC, but United is a full service airline so they should do better. Thanks for watching
@@thenervousflier Do keep in mind that Jetblue has those armrest remotes too, so don't single United out for that
Amazing Trip Report! I flew United’s 737-800 all the way from EWR to Costa Rica, and boy that was an experience. I have a trip report about it on my channel if you want to watch it
Thanks, I’ll check it out!
If you're bothered by the remote armrest, do keep in mind that Jetblue has been putting the remote there for a long time and just stopped doing that in 2019, which is many years after United decided to stop installing DirecTV with that remote control in favor of smartphone entertainment
Thanks for the comment! I’ve actually never flow JetBlue.
@@nycflyertravel If you fly on their A321s, then you would find the same seat model as what United uses, and you would also find the very similarly placed remote control as well.
Nice review! United really need to step up their game
Agreed! Thanks for watching
This was an old aircraft! Most of UA fleet is much more modern!
Nice review, the plane wasn't very clean. The aircraft looked quite old
wow....they must use older planes on domestic flights.... the ones to Bogota were much different...
Yeah they use a couple of different versions on the 737. I flew on a different one a few weeks after this flight and it was much nicer.
There are lots of United AIRLINE!!How is your cancellation status? Japan is almost canceled.
Thankfully I only had one flight scheduled and it was canceled. Hopefully things will improve soon
@@nycflyertravel I agree! I hope everyday comes soon! The mask is spicy! !
How would you rate this flight on the scale of 1-10 besides the food?
Hey David, I’d give it about a 4. The seat was really cramped and the broken/old school IFE system was annoying, but it got me to where I needed to go. I was traveling with family on this flight and we were all complaining about being soar once we got off the plane, but not the end of the world though. Thanks for watching
NYC Flyer Is the seat also cramped on the newer United Boeing 737-900ER’s?
David Bian nah the cabin’s a lot newer/nicer. I flew on that one a few weeks later to Vegas and I liked it a lot more
NYC Flyer, by the way, I flew on a United Economy flight this January from SFO to Singapore nonstop 16 hours and there weren’t complimentary meals either, only meals for $10 just like on this flight from EWR TO SJC! I’m just kidding, trust me! Again, I’m just kidding!
David Bian haha ok, but you never know with United!
39 like bro all the best
Thank you 🙏
Looks cramped, yikes! Well one thing's for sure, Delta and JetBlue has been kicking United's butt when it comes to transcon inflight service. - Red
Yeah, if you’re looking for comfort then definitely stay away from United. Thanks for watching
How tall are you? I'm short so probably wouldn't be as uncomfortable. #greatfultobesosmall
Haha, I'm 5'10", so not so tall, but I think anyone would be uncomfortable on that plane!
What seat?
Sorry, I honestly can’t remember.
Ok. Thanks anyway
Is it illegal for United to not serve free meals on 6 hour domestic flights in economy class when the ticket price is expensive?
It definitely should be! Thanks for watching!
NYC Flyer Is that illegal or it’s just a recommendation!
Nah it’s not illegal. I just think they should offer free food on such an expensive flight.
@NYC Flyer, then just report that to the United Customer Care Team immediately at this website: www.united.com/en/us/customercare
@@nycflyertravel, another bad thing that could happen with United besides the free onboard meal is that United could force all the restaurants in the United terminal to be closed forever to make all economy passengers hungry unless if they pay for onboard meals.
Awsome video I have also uploaded a new video
737-700 is like a A319
737 700 replaces grounded 737 max
Thanks for watching! I really hope the 737 MAX gets back in the air soon.

wow i got the same plane. sketch
It’s not the smallest 737 😀
Where did I say it’s the smallest 737? 🤔
@@nycflyertravel title
@@JmanAviation the title is United’s Smallest 737, which it is
@@nycflyertravel they did once have the -200.
