And I must say, for a similar reason to being hard coming out as Pan, I imagine it must have taken courage to go there in a suit. Lots of people are hostile, you never know what response you’ll get! But hey, the courage to express oneself should overpower the hostility that might be received. So whether or not hostility is received in a specified scenario, it makes me happy to know when someone is comfortable expressing themselves publicly.
I did this same thing! My fursona is a polarized fox-wolf (fox body with wolf head, purple blue and pink stripes that fade together), everyone thought I fit SO well with the vibe they even paid me to go around the arcade and pretend to be a mascot. Funny little thing that happened there also, one of the managers was a furry and didn't wear a fursuit to her job until I did, and another furry showed up to the arcade later that day
