  • A buddy and I fished 2 of the Bloomington Normal Bass Club tournaments on Lake Evergreen and Lake Bloomington, Illinois. It was hot and windy summer fishing but we were able to set the hook on a few bass. Thanks for watching!

You are definitely finding the numbers. There has to be a 15er in there somewhere!

Our lakes are known for small fish, unfortunately. The last 3 tournaments have averaged 52 anglers/tournament, with only 11 fish weighed in for each tournament...

Love that lake tough but some big fish in there. I'm trying to get a good musky from there

You crushed the short fish. I think you are right about the big girls in the main lake.

@@MattVavrochFishing dude Im gonna be real, if you got a camera with better stabilization you'd get so many more views. You catch great fish but your videos can be hard to watch sometimes with how shaky the footage is. You might need to invest in a chest rig with stiffer elastic straps too.

@@EngineeringHooksets hmmm good to know, that’s part of the reason I started filming from multiple angles to help cut some of that shakiness out. Appreciate the heads up gonna def be more aware of that editing now.

Nice videos man. Keep up the good work!... , do you know which places are the best to fish from shore near Bloomington? I've been to Evergreen Lake and Dawson lake, very nice lakes, but I had a hard time trying to get to the shore, there's a lot of vegetation. I did my research on the internet and some people recommended white oak lake, but I don't think there is bass in there.

Thanks! There are definitely bass in white oak, I used to fish there when I was little. Evergreen has good shore fishing access near glasener beach and campground cove. You could also try Weldon Springs, that's a good lake.

Yo I love the vids try setting the hook more straight up that could be a reason why your losing a lot of your fish, but keep up the good work I love your vids

Is a 14 not a keeper where your from? What does a smaller have to be to keep

Depends on the lake. In these 2 lakes its 15" minimum. Some lakes around here are 16" minimum, some are slot limit with 2 fish between 12"-15" and 1 fish over 15"
