So if anyone is having issues w this like me, try pressing scrap first then store a little later. Hold down store. The scrap message should come first. If the store message is showing up alone, you’re pressing store too soon. Wait a little bit
It works people, hold the O or B at the end, don't drop the botton until you press X or A.

It does work, with holding b also messed me up, on the xbox, you have to do a sorta swipe
If you got a keyboard, where you can config macros, thats pretty easy to do. just set the time between releasing R and pressing TAB to 1 ms. than holding TAB to 1-2 seconds. works everytime.

Still works as of today🎉 Xbox 1 player. Worked by swiping X to B and HOLD B. Very quick swipe motion, it’ll work.

For people having trouble with timing: The reason this glitch works is because there is a slight delay between the prompt to scrap an object actually appearing and you pressing the button to scrap it, while there is no delay between the prompt to store and object and you pressing the button to store it.
Try finding the length of the delay between the scrap button press and appearance of the prompt. After finding the delay length, apply this to the "store" part of the glitch. You press scrap, then wait the rough time of the delay, then hold store. It won't work immediately, and it still takes a few tries but it's a lot easier than winging it.
For example, I found out that the junk prompt appears a very short time after the "R" key raises back to it's original position. When performing the glitch, I look at my finger on the "R" key, Very quickly after the "R" key returns to it's original position, I press and hold store.
Does this work with just raw material of can I like, duplicate a shipment or a piece of scrap (like a desk fan for example)?
Askin cus I remember way back then there was a similar glitch to duplicate shipments, never needed to scavenge for adhesive ever again bug it got patched out
Yeah you can duplicate things like a desk fan. It will put the desk fan in your workshop and it'll also put the materials that make up the desk fan in the workshop too!

for some reason i can get both menus but the tab button closes out the scrap menu
Works on the ps5 with the next gen update. The timing needs time to learn, but it works fine

Tip for other pc / keyboard players only getting the store option, wait a tad longer before hitting store after hitting scrap, worked for me
in the workshop mode, the first option to use by you stands "Special". is that a dlc ? bye me the first object is structure ..thx for the nice video
No, some quests give you specific items to build these items will be listed under special
Worked after afew times on xbox. Has it afew times. Annoying to delete shelves or posts .
If you are having trouble set your FPS to 30.
And if you still have trouble press SQUARE X CIRCLE fast in a swipe motion. Not guaranteed but easier.

So you have to drop and pick up each one individually?? You can't drop a stack of 6 and try the glitch on that stack?
It seems that the game is forcing it to drop that way

So the glitch works, but it's different very finicky. It sometimes works, but it isnt 100%. He isnt wrong, there is a very small margin of error for the button presses, but it still works for xbox at least

Be careful, your item can reset its value back to one if you get too greedy, keep it under 60k
Xbox series x here it works mabye try doing is slower like press x and hold b right after but no to slow but slight slower is should work and kepp B down while prssing a for store and scarp when you get it working

My stupid game cancels the scrap when the double box pops up FFS!!!!!!
I am holding B but as soon as i let go it cancels the scrap as B is the cancel button. What am i doing wrong as i have to press B for store but B is also cancel. The double box pops up but my game cancels it as i’m holding B. Its not a timing issue as i can get double box no issues i just can’t scrap when it comes up
You have to hold b when both menus pop up and don't let go of b until you have double pressed a to confirm

How do you do gold bars? I get gol worth squat. I dont lose any gold bars.
same method.
Get gold bar from the Root cellar behind the house in Sanctuary then duplicate. Note you will get Gold by scrapping not gold bar so you will need to duplicate the gold.
@@MolnarG007 I know that. You find 3 bars that weigh X a piece. You duplicate them and they turn out like 1 tenth the weight and they worth far less than the original bar. You dupe the scrap and not the complete original object.

@@DominickDenDullenI heard it’s something about the Fps, if you have a good system and are running the game at 60-120 fps I think it’s more difficult or impossible. I could be wrong but I’m going to lower my fps cap and try

Should work on any junk item, but it'll make it into its base components and the original item. Best to use the normal base materials

Nah, but oil is lightweight and valueable so best bet is dupe oil and sell that for your purposes

How did you do it?
@@ChimkenKing tap square, hold circle, wait for both menus to appear, press x , hold circle the entire time, and press x again. When you go to your workbench it’ll be double of your items. Keep in mind the glitch doesn’t work on already made items such as telescope. It works on the parts (gears, springs, steel, and wood).
I doing everything and it just stores the original item back in the workshop with no extras
