This glitch works faster if you use a raw junk item that when scrapped, provides more than one unit of a resource. For example, let's say you need aluminum. Aluminum Cans provide two units of aluminum and Cake Pans provide three. If you use the latter for this glitch, you will get three units of aluminum every time and have a cake pan sitting in the workbench storage waiting for you, similar to the SPECIAL book glitch.
For people having trouble with timing: The reason this glitch works is because there is a slight delay between the prompt to scrap an object actually appearing and you pressing the button to scrap it, while there is no delay between the prompt to store and object and you pressing the button to store it. Try finding the length of the delay between the scrap button press and appearance of the prompt. After finding the delay length, apply this to the "store" part of the glitch. You press scrap, then wait the rough time of the delay, then hold store. It won't work immediately, and it still takes a few tries but it's a lot easier than winging it. For example, I found out that the junk prompt appears a very short time after the "R" key raises back to it's original position. When performing the glitch, I look at my finger on the "R" key, Very quickly after the "R" key returns to it's original position, I press and hold store.
I figured this out last night on my own after watching your "you're special" duplication glitch video, and can't wait to see how many people tell you it's impossible to do it just because they can't get the timing right 🤣

I swipe my thumb from square to circle really quickly. Oh and I make it at 30fps whenever I do this glitch by going to settings and then display. It works that way.

If you got a keyboard, where you can config macros, thats pretty easy to do. just set the time between releasing R and pressing TAB to 1 ms. than holding TAB to 1-2 seconds. works everytime.

I am holding B but as soon as i let go it cancels the scrap as B is the cancel button. What am i doing wrong as i have to press B for store but B is also cancel. The double box pops up but my game cancels it as i’m holding B. Its not a timing issue as i can get double box no issues i just can’t scrap when it comes up
Does this work with just raw material of can I like, duplicate a shipment or a piece of scrap (like a desk fan for example)? Askin cus I remember way back then there was a similar glitch to duplicate shipments, never needed to scavenge for adhesive ever again bug it got patched out
Yeah you can duplicate things like a desk fan. It will put the desk fan in your workshop and it'll also put the materials that make up the desk fan in the workshop too!
So the glitch works, but it's different very finicky. It sometimes works, but it isnt 100%. He isnt wrong, there is a very small margin of error for the button presses, but it still works for xbox at least

same method. Get gold bar from the Root cellar behind the house in Sanctuary then duplicate. Note you will get Gold by scrapping not gold bar so you will need to duplicate the gold.
@@MolnarG007 I know that. You find 3 bars that weigh X a piece. You duplicate them and they turn out like 1 tenth the weight and they worth far less than the original bar. You dupe the scrap and not the complete original object.
@@DominickDenDullenI heard it’s something about the Fps, if you have a good system and are running the game at 60-120 fps I think it’s more difficult or impossible. I could be wrong but I’m going to lower my fps cap and try

No, some quests give you specific items to build these items will be listed under special

My stupid game cancels the scrap when the double box pops up FFS!!!!!!

You have to hold b when both menus pop up and don't let go of b until you have double pressed a to confirm
If you are having trouble set your FPS to 30.
And if you still have trouble press SQUARE X CIRCLE fast in a swipe motion. Not guaranteed but easier.
