I'm just a white kid from the PNW - grew up in a logging and farming community - and I will NEVER forget the first time I listened to Cuban Linx when it came out. Been a Wu fanatic since. These guys are absolute Gods in the game and that still doesn't show them enough respect. Props to Nore for hosting such a respectful interview....ya'll have done an incredible job with this show. Thank you for this.

Growing up in Parkhill and watching Raekwon, Deck, Mef, Cappa & U God in the early years on the block was legendary. Ghostface was much respected in the Hill. Shaolin Stand Up
I still remember the day Only Built 4 Cuban Linx dropped. I was a teenager growing up in East New York, Brooklyn, the belly of the beast. A friend had bought the CD and came into the park blasting it. We stopped the basketball game and listed to the album the rest of the day on repeat. And when Ironman dropped, I was there that day and still have Wu on a separate playlist for the car and gym. The 90s was such a good time in hip-hop, also tragic too, but a decade I'll never forget. Blessing to these brothers who are aging well and can look back on what they accomplished.
Rae don’t even look different than he did in 2001 Allah been good to these brothers

I believe they are a little too big for that. They still doing world tours and putting albums out.
Whenever Raekwon speaks, it’s like you just gotta listen to the story. Unparalleled. I was the first one in my hood wit the purple tape and it was like a movie. Word. That’s when I actually fell in love wit HipHop. Me and HipHop was just dating before that. Lol That’s when I realized the depth.
He's a captivating speaker but so is Ghost, they just drip charisma.
I never understood the purple tape until just now. Always been a Ghost fan, the way he put words together is insane. But it took “ The Saga “ and a documentary for me to get the purple tape. Which is crazy because my favorite verses on “ Enter the 36 Chambers “ is from Raekwon.

You really can't pick who is better than who. Because then you start thinking about another MC in Wu Tang...supreme truth or definitely truth?
You can argue forever about who the dopest from shaolin. They all dope. Deck is the most underrated though. That czarface shit is crazy! Fuckin love it…
Hip hop is the prevailing art form of the masses over the last few decades and it doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. When historians look back on this period, emcees might be viewed the same way we look at novelists from two hundred years ago or playwrights from the 14th century.
If that’s the case, and it might be, these guys will be among the absolute best. In my opinion, they’re the absolute peak of the art form. It’s hard to imagine how they were even able to create something so different from the rest. Thirty years later and it still holds up the same way it did when I was a kid.
I love that whenever someone from WuTang is being interviewed they always bigup the rest of the clan. No one ever talks shit about the other dudes styles.
That ain't true. Few of them were shitting on Rza couple years back
@@exillens Yeah your right. About his beats and the last couple Wu albums. But besides that I like that they always take time to talk about the other guys
No other rappers impacted me as a person more than Rae, ghost and I’ll say Nas. From the way I dress to the way I act, these brothers played a part in it. The snow beach jacket, the wallabees, the polos cmon man

Im a Westcoast dude but 36 Chambers was my first CD in 93' after all the tapes I was 8. Then Nas It Was Written and B.I.G. Ready To Die. Eastcoast at that time had a major influence on my Hip Hop game! Mad RESPECT to both coasts and DownSouth and all around OUR world we live in!! From up North West Canada Peace to all my old heads that know wuttup! KEEP IT ALIVE!!!! Wu Tang Forever! The most unique group with so many successful members like none other..
That Raekwon statement about Wu-Gambinos is something you would only understand if you lived near the mafia like I did in Canarsie, Brooklyn. That movement made you look at what gangsters was in a different way then most.
Ghost is so hood..lmfao.. " yea 8 people got bodied that day" 😂

Right
Don't look for your coat it's gone 🤣
Ghost is savage 💯
Lol he doesn’t give a fuck
"In the G building. Taking all types of medicine." I will never forget going to the Mariah concert at MSG. And they honored him. When New York stands up. We stand up tall and strong. RIP ODB. Tupac is an empath. He was born to be a leader. But he was also sensitive, caring, and loyal to those he believed would do the same for him. RIP. And what can be said about BIG. He is Brooklyn's pride and joy. RIP.
WU TANG IS 4 EVER 😤. Best hip hop group of all-time and they will be NEVER forgotten 🙏. REAL HIP HOP NEVER DIES AND THAT'S KEEPING IT 💯.
Presidents are temporary but Wu Tang is forever 💯💯💯💯
Raekwon real down to earth, and you can tell he's humble and been through a lot
This is what I’m talking about. Props to N.O.R.E. For bringing in LEGENDS 💯
