I've always been a heavy metal guy. But Wu Tang and the 90s NYC Hip Hop scene is my favorite era in music like ever. It's just authentic and that can ever be duplicated.
Funny I see the types of comments on hiphop videos and it's always metal dudes who have to say they are metal guys and then say they like some rap You don't hear other genres always identify themselves like that, one genre people

No Rappers Had Nothing On Raekwon And Ghost When It Came To Rapping About Being In The Streets. Like By Their Tone Of Their Voices Alone You Can Tell They Lived That Life. Always Gave Us That Street Element Through The Speakers. Wu Made Street Music Popular.
This was one of the dopest, realest, episodes of Drink Champs yet. Much respect to Wu Tang, and to NORE & EFN for providing a platform like this for fans of the culture to feel like we all in it with yall
Wu-Tang always has been, and always will be my favorite group. I can't tell you how many times I've gone back and forth with who my favorite member was since the 90's. Between their group and solo albums, there's so much great music for us to appreciate for a long time.
As a casual fan of 90's hip hop, 36 Chambers is one of the few albums i know front to back. I was into it in 7,8, n 9 grade and got stuck in that era. Still love that album to this day.
I love that whenever someone from WuTang is being interviewed they always bigup the rest of the clan. No one ever talks shit about the other dudes styles.
@@exillens Yeah your right. About his beats and the last couple Wu albums. But besides that I like that they always take time to talk about the other guys
My uncle put me on wu tang in 99, I was 8. It was a wrap from there. These guys music changed my whole outlook on life growing up with the realness. Especially that “can it all be so simple” that shit still gives me chills
Im a Westcoast dude but 36 Chambers was my first CD in 93' after all the tapes I was 8. Then Nas It Was Written and B.I.G. Ready To Die. Eastcoast at that time had a major influence on my Hip Hop game! Mad RESPECT to both coasts and DownSouth and all around OUR world we live in!! From up North West Canada Peace to all my old heads that know wuttup! KEEP IT ALIVE!!!! Wu Tang Forever! The most unique group with so many successful members like none other..
Ghost and RAE !!! I love the level of respect between them.. They don;t go screaming over each other . they listen and then speak when it's their turn unlike others who just want to scream over the top of each other. !! WU LIFE !!
This is one of the BEST episodes of Drink Champs that I've seen and they have a lot of great ones. I've loved these two legends since I was in middle school when the Wu came out. Their Verzuz was also one of the best. I'm definitely glad that they're getting their flowers now. I truly appreciate their stories and especially UN sharing his story as well.
@sassyone82 not sure if 82’ represents the year you were born and if so, I was born in 81’ and was in middle school too when they came out. Girl, those were the days!
That Raekwon statement about Wu-Gambinos is something you would only understand if you lived near the mafia like I did in Canarsie, Brooklyn. That movement made you look at what gangsters was in a different way then most.
"we wasn't in the dumb class , just in the one after the smart ones" this is so full of incredible quotes lol , I low these guys talking , they should really have a rae-ghost show together
I love hearing stories from these OGs. After listening to them for the first time bak in 96 when I was in 6th grade that shit changed my life. Seeing them in concert right before the pandemic hit was the pinnacle of my love for this culture we call hip hop.
I met Raekwon at all star weekend in Toronto Fabolous had brung him on stage Raekwon shook my hand and said some positive things to me he was the most humble celebrity I ever met 💯
Wu-Tang Clan are The Beatles and Bob Marley of hip-hop. The same way you can go to any country and know who The Beatles and Bob Marley are is the same way you can go anywhere and know the Wu-Tang Clan. The same way my grandparents would talk about Bob and The Beatles is the same way I talk to my kids about Wu. Legendary team! LOVE!
This interview brought me back. I love the energy in the room and how they still show respect to the others. Amazing storytellers. I pray their legacy is always honored
This has to be one of the realest interviews ever. The genuine remorse of Ghost for the skit when Big died. The reverence for ODB from both of them. The thought process behind the responses of Quick TIme with Slime. Aside from the Busta interview, I can't think of any other one.
This interview was PHENOMENAL!!! It was longer than The Titanic and I never lost interest once! Amazing job Nore and DJ EFN...and shout to Ghostface and Raekwon for being so mfkn real! This ish was super dope! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯
ive watched this episode multiple times already, and each time I get the same feeling. There's something about Rae and Ghost just talking to N.O.R.E that is so satisfying.
Growing up in NYC, this is how all the dudes and chicks who were getting money in the streets walked around. Truck jewelry, velour suits, new kicks everyday , full length leathers, everything. The rappers back in the late 80’s got their whole style from the hustlers because rappers weren’t getting money like that back in the day. They started this fashion and jewelry wave back then that’s still rocking out till this day.
@@TheFlyboyfame Whats the point of your judgment? We are physical material beings and they are not Buddhist monks. Based on the teachings of the Nation of Gods and Earths, they saw themselves as kings and gods. Kings and gods have the highest standards for themselves. They were walking around shining in the midst of absolute poverty. Unfortunately they got the money from slinging. Reagan era politics pushed cocaine and crack into the neighborhood to pay for their covert operations.
Hip hop is the prevailing art form of the masses over the last few decades and it doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. When historians look back on this period, emcees might be viewed the same way we look at novelists from two hundred years ago or playwrights from the 14th century. If that’s the case, and it might be, these guys will be among the absolute best. In my opinion, they’re the absolute peak of the art form. It’s hard to imagine how they were even able to create something so different from the rest. Thirty years later and it still holds up the same way it did when I was a kid.
No other rappers impacted me as a person more than Rae, ghost and I’ll say Nas. From the way I dress to the way I act, these brothers played a part in it. The snow beach jacket, the wallabees, the polos cmon man

"In the G building. Taking all types of medicine." I will never forget going to the Mariah concert at MSG. And they honored him. When New York stands up. We stand up tall and strong. RIP ODB. Tupac is an empath. He was born to be a leader. But he was also sensitive, caring, and loyal to those he believed would do the same for him. RIP. And what can be said about BIG. He is Brooklyn's pride and joy. RIP.
Ghostface and The Chef on Drink Champs was needed. Wu-Tang are just different levels. They the only few groups in Hip Hop with many members that are very skilled MCs. You really can't pick who is better than who. Because then you start thinking about another MC in Wu Tang...supreme truth or definitely truth?
You can argue forever about who the dopest from shaolin. They all dope. Deck is the most underrated though. That czarface shit is crazy! Fuckin love it…

You're right. His voice was made for rapping. So smooth.

Best interview to date , and probably ever. These brothers changed my life. I could listen to them nonstop. So much love and respect for these men and all the WU.
Thank you Drink Champs.
The fact Ghost & Rae still kickin it like that , like they still on the block chillin is dope man, that some real brotherhood shit 💯 keep doing what you doing N.O.R.E. !
You can't talk hiphop without mentioning WU-TANG.
Its impossible to me.
GhostFace & RaeKwon is LEGENDARY!
Well said.
Facts!
BIG FACTS!!
imo WU tang is on a level that cannot be touched. the same lvll as busta
It's public enemy for me
Raekwon's bracelet is probably the biggest bracelet I have ever seen in my life.
🤣😂
You haven't seen ghosts wonder woman eagle bracelet?
@@haamunaama6071 yooo that's one of my fav pieces of jewelry ever... shits ridiculous 🦅🦅

N.O.R.E. is a pivotal force hip hop , Not many of these guests would open up and speak they way they do with him. He’s industry and “In The Street”
That's cause he comes from the mud and got stripes out here. His resume is legit and real recognize real. It's very familiar.
He’s got them drinking stoopid
@@LyricalTrain riktigt we know what drink do.
I’m bout to get in the game, just to get on this show
@@LyricalTrain You are definitely drunk with that sentence 😂.
Always love Ghostface for "All That I Got Is You"... helped mi get through hard times as a single mother. 💜 Always love WuTang for "Triumph" 🐝🔥🙌🏾
Raekwon is prolly the most best New York sounding dude bro
And Large Proffesor
Rakim too 💯
This the realest Rae and Ghost interview EVER! This is ish you dream about hearing and watching! Big up DC on this one! 🔥🔥🔥
I've always been a heavy metal guy. But Wu Tang and the 90s NYC Hip Hop scene is my favorite era in music like ever.
It's just authentic and that can ever be duplicated.
Wu Tang, Nas, Biggie, Jay-Z. What a time to be alive.
@@possessedsligdon't forget Mobb Deep
Funny I see the types of comments on hiphop videos and it's always metal dudes who have to say they are metal guys and then say they like some rap
You don't hear other genres always identify themselves like that, one genre people
Watched the whole 4 hours and literally could have watched 4 more hours of these legends! Big ups! ✌🏻
I barely can get thru a 2hr episode but watch this from start to finish
Throw Sincere & AZ in there
Same!
🎯💯💯
"we didn't look at it like that, we had a million dollar thought"...pure science.💯👊🏾💪🏾
Rae & Ghost just different 👏💯
N.O.R.E. really got these two men together for a four hour long interview!!!! This is fucking legendary and amazing!!!! Got my Wu-Tang shirt on and I’m getting ready for some stories!!! Wu-Tang Forever!!! 🙌🏼🟡⚫️⚔️🐝💯🙏🏼🐐🏆
Rae and Ghost can read menus at Dennys and that shit will be entertaining😂
Lol right
NOPE,THE GODS DONT FUCK WIT DENNY OR BOB EVAN.
Seriously man …. Especially Rae I think his emphasis on things is real luxurious, and Suave but gangster all at once
and would sound nice over some strings
@@THEREALDEACONFROST u totally missed the joke little school bus
This was one of the dopest, realest, episodes of Drink Champs yet. Much respect to Wu Tang, and to NORE & EFN for providing a platform like this for fans of the culture to feel like we all in it with yall
Wu-Tang always has been, and always will be my favorite group. I can't tell you how many times I've gone back and forth with who my favorite member was since the 90's. Between their group and solo albums, there's so much great music for us to appreciate for a long time.
No Doubt!
Same for me, I first said Meth was mine but now I say rae and ghost are. Not bc of the interview but before. Wu Tang is like Hip hop's royalty.
That ain't true. Few of them were shitting on Rza couple years back
@@exillens Yeah your right.
Same bro my fav wu track of all time.

That's why u said it's 1 of the best because of your interest in them

The part where they tell ODB stories brought a tear to my eye. ODB forever
The fact Raekwon appreciates Grease makes me appreciate him even more. The soundtrack made me love that movie.
You know it's a classic when NORE says he has 2 questions left and the video has an hour to go. Getting into a shootout with The Delfonics is wild
🤣 u noticed that
U know Nore a foul dude everytime any guest he has in break into a shootout story he start giggling like crazy 🤣

Seeing them in concert right before the pandemic hit was the pinnacle of my love for this culture we call hip hop.
Teach the kids.
I met Raekwon at all star weekend in Toronto Fabolous had brung him on stage Raekwon shook my hand and said some positive things to me he was the most humble celebrity I ever met 💯
THIS episode is gold! Gratitude for these bruthas sharing stories, reflections and discussing how to care for hip hop legends. My fav platform.
Ghost face was ALWAYS my favorite from the WU… He ALWAYS had the best albums
Facts Family ! Best solo career
Mines too!!!I love Ghost
Same here... He was my favorite as well...
Aside from cuban links
Ghost did stay the most consistent.
Ever since the Purple Tape I gotta say Rae and Ghost have always been my fave Wu emcees. Definitely the most consistent members.
Congrats Nore. Best interview you’ve done. Calm, calculated. Great questions and let the stories breathe 💪👏
Agreed 💪🏾
Wu-Tang Clan are The Beatles and Bob Marley of hip-hop. The same way you can go to any country and know who The Beatles and Bob Marley are is the same way you can go anywhere and know the Wu-Tang Clan. The same way my grandparents would talk about Bob and The Beatles is the same way I talk to my kids about Wu. Legendary team! LOVE!
Id say hendrix, tribe called quest was the beatles. Lol
I’d say there’s no comparison to anyone before. Hip Hop too. Unprecedented. Incomparable. Equally legendary.

Aside from the Busta interview, I can't think of any other one.

ive watched this episode multiple times already, and each time I get the same feeling.
I grew up in Staten. Mercury really walked around in furs All The Time
All materialistic shit.... Respectfully
Two absolute TITANS of the game. Ghost and Rae!!!

His story about the shootout w/ the Delfonics is hysterical 😭😂🤣💯
Yo time mark?
The fact that they recorded "After The Smoke Is Clear" after that is fucking HILARIOUS
Gotta b the best drink champs throwback story ever.
U could do a movie just about that 😆
Right like who beefs with the Delfonics😂😂
Hip hop is the prevailing art form of the masses over the last few decades and it doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. When historians look back on this period, emcees might be viewed the same way we look at novelists from two hundred years ago or playwrights from the 14th century.
If that’s the case, and it might be, these guys will be among the absolute best. In my opinion, they’re the absolute peak of the art form. It’s hard to imagine how they were even able to create something so different from the rest. Thirty years later and it still holds up the same way it did when I was a kid.
As an obsessed fan, the wu is the greatest group in the history of hip hop. Period

The Delfonics shootout story was EPIC as hell.... I was literally in tears laughing listening to Ghost tell it. These dudes are legends on so many levels.

this interview gets really good at the end. At first, going through Rae and Ghost's meeting each other and making protect your neck are stories we've all heard but there are some real gems at the end. GHOST and the DELFONICS!! what!
Bruh this has to be the best Ghost & Rae interview I ever seen. They was so comfortable just vibing. This 4 hrs flying by.
I love what Rakwon said about 2Pac, he

Ghost was trying to be disrespectful and ignorant about it, there are others ways to show you do not listen to Pac than to pretend to not know a 2pac song that features inspectah deck and Meth, Rae knew it's inappropriate to say that.
