A Conversation With Harley Brown

I felt "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" when I decided to ask living legend, Harley Brown, if I could interview him as part of the 2022 Australian Pastel Expo. To my surprise and delight, Harley responded with a yes!
After some test runs over Zoom, and a couple of Zoom hiccups early in the interview, around. 2 hours of magic in conversation, demonstration, education and nonstop entertainment ensued.

Dear Lyn, thank you sssoooooo much for interviewing one of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ARTISTS, the Incredible Harley Brown!!! His book, ETERNAL TRUTHS OF EVERY ARTIST changed my life! I had no idea pastels could be brought to life like that! I know the late Daniel Greene was a great pastel portraitist who mostly worked in oils, but Harley hands down, is the BEST with pastels I have ever seen...EVER!!! What amazes me is, many of the paintings that were published in "ETERNAL TRUTHS" are still in his home! His talent and knowledge is still bursting out with the EAGERNESS and POWER to TEACH with on the zoom platform. His energy and WILLINGNESS to give of himself is literally BURSTING at the SEAMS! Lyn I SALUTE you!!!

I really value Harley Brown's booK about the truths because that is exactly what this artist speaks...THE TRUTH! His book is NOT full of boring instructions one could be wrapped too tightly into. His book is full of fantastic evidence that he understands and has been through all of the snares we art creators may go through during our lives as artists. I trust this man note than any artist or art instructor I've ever met
.You will benefit greatly from Thr things he tells you. PLEASE GET THAT BOOK!!!!!It is the true artist's bible!
