Tell you they love you and don't even know the real meaning of it. Also, sometimes their ex is dumb for them and will let them get away with anything. That person is easier for them to walk all over because they don't require anything of him as a man. Only weak men like that type of woman though.

She should be glad he's out of her life because if he came from a toxic relationship without healing first he'll do the same thing to this young lady that he did to the other he was with for 4 years. If she was the toxic one, he'll start stuff with this new young lady to get her to act like the other so he could get the response he's used to. He is young, needs to heal first and probably get some counseling. You gave great advice as always.
Age has nothing to do with it, same thing happened to me and he was 45 years old and he went back to his ex. Actually the truth came out, she was never an ex, he was living a double life with the both of us. So to say he went back, truth be told the liar never left in the first place. He is with her now, left me with a baby holding the bag.

He say it's love I tell him love does not hurt you like we have hurt each other 💔! He was my first and only person I've ever been with. I still love him, and have love for him. I just can not be unhappy or keep allowing his poor behavior anymore. Disrespect, Crying, fussing, fighting, sleepless night, stressing, more than having happiness, communicating, growth, understanding, real love, and get it right. Is not worth you fearing not having peace today, walking on eggshells or thing getting really out of hand to the point one day one of you really take it farther. Finally snap and someone lose their life it's not worth it. I finally understood this when I asked him would you hurt our children or allow someone else too? His answer was are you crazy? You know I don't even put my hands on our loves and he will NOT(he popped our oldest child once and her response to her father popping her was like her heart was hurt, tears, in her eyes he just could not take that feeling of disappointment from her towards him or her being because of him. He did not want her to feel that pain nor think it's okay for her to allow someone to mistreat her.) I said very calmly and simple, "then why would you hurt, an abuse, and mistreat their mother if you love me?" He had nothing to say, I never got an answer from him. But I understood in that moment. After a few I Packed our things and two children and left. Now I'm Healing, I'm learning, I'm understanding where I went wrong and I am not accepting it anymore. She could not compete with his soul tie. Yes, he tried to start a rebound relationship with her, but his heart was somewhere else. You were in a collateral relationship. You have to accept that he was never yours. His immaturity could not express his torn heart. But in the end he went to where his heart led him. Know that it had nothing to do with you. And what he does after the breakup is not your business. Move on find your soul tie!

He could have sleep apnea causing mood swings (constant shiftiness, irritability)You also mentioned drugs.. chemicals. Chemical imbalance which can sometimes be underlying cause of Dual Diagnosis( mental illness/addictions) occuring together.
My ex has been in and out of a roller coaster relationship the last 7 years. Every year, twice a year, same thing. I told him he had an addiction that it wasn't love. He's injured, down, not himself so he went back to the familiar pull and safety of the known. Something he has control over because he is always the one who decides and she always just waits. She hadnt been with anyone else since experiencing trauma 6 years ago. It's bad for both of them and her children.
