      Thank you Tara! 🥰That is awesome to hear and I really appreciate you more than you know. Of course the feedback helps the algorithm push my video out there, since my channel is still so small. But honestly, I read every comment and try to respond to everyone, and when I read a comment like yours, it just makes all the difference for me. I cannot tell you how important kind and encouraging words like yours are to this whole process for someone starting out! So for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please let me know if there’s anything you think I can ever do better or should do differently. I am editing a storytime right now about drugs in prison, but I will have another true crime coming up in the next two videos. Much love and respect to you and your family and again thank you, thank you, thank you, for your encouraging words ❤️🥰🙏🙏

    It seems to me like Josh should've gotten a charge for inciting violence. He was lying to and manipulating the both of them, and even told both of them that if they cared about him, they would fight for him. If he wouldn't have done that, there likely wouldn't have been a death in this situation.

    You know, complete sidebar; in sociology class in college, I actually discerned as a major theme in a final project that an awful lot (somewhere like every single problem) of society's problems are due to men behaving badly; well, *if* you're being truthful, "Josh" is a classic example of a guy behaving badly- he deserves *neither* of those ladies if he's going to do this kind of foolery!

      I find it ironic that a lot of women have a hard time with intimacy or even working and thriving due to past traumas from men. Men end up suffering too for how the bad ones treat women. Women are not inherently better people but we’re wired less violent and sexual and that goes a long way. I’m the only women I’ve met who hadn’t been touched against their will and I’ve had very extreme stalkers so I’m not exactly lucky either

    new sub here , found your channel about an hour ago! you mentioned in this video asking about anyone else relate to you when angry to the point of saying things in the moment that you would not say nor ever mean to say nor ever ever do to anyone but up and just say it in the moment when insanely angry.. and the tragic truth is yes ... for folk like me absolutely yes. i would conjecture that the majority in the human population if 100% honest would say yes to your sound and reasonable question. for this very reason i have a serious issue with court trials taking recordings videos and journals /diaries of people's personal thoughts to be use against them when really no one can control what they dream nor think and in cases like the Ruby Fanke trial, a chunk of what she wrote in there to me was obvious that she had gone off the deep end and truly out of character. She wrote things down that were hideous that needed psychiatric treatment and long term therapy sessions. I can say i saw all the signs of where it came from and it was the pressure and nonstop stress and crisis her children put her through on a daily basis and unfortunately the help she originally seeking didn't happen in time and was left to fester with sick wacko Jodi Hildebrandt. So yes i totally get what you say on all of that and it is sad those items are used against so many on trial and worse yet held to trial by people who are found to be far worse than those they are prosecuting.

    Judging from the scene you describe where one of these teen girls goes into the other's section at her work where the other gal's a waitress; it is as if she's about to set her up to challenge her into a duel... I don't doubt from what you dealt with behind bars that you may well have seen that kind of foolery coming up; especially in this highly "Twilight Zone gone bizarre" situation where one lady accuses the other of stealing her girlfriend behind bars; holy moly- that'd do it alright for causing a duel in prison!
    Historically, duels would happen over romance; especially in this kind of a case where one girl accuses the other of stealing her man, or one man's words impair another man's personal honor- which by the way is a total mockery of the concept of honor to begin with!

Anything from how you first learned about manifesting, any things you realized you manifested into your life before u knew what manifesting even was, did you manifest anything while in prison, what was your spiritual journey in prison/ did you do anything to keep a spiritual routine or even a mindset routine/ habits to keep you sharp? U get the vibe lol/ spiritual/ manifesting while also leading into general mental health and wellness while locked up and in that survival mode environment (I also wonder do you ever get comfortable and get out of survival mode once you’ve been in for 10 years? 9:21 Hi, I’ve a question, is it possible she’s an undiagnosed autism/ASD1 formerly known as Asperger’s?
    I can’t relate to her teenage behavior regarding boys, but I can relate a lot with the ppl pleasing aspects.
    I was diagnosed with ADHD around 12-13 y/a & with autism/ASD1 (formerly known as Asperger’s) in late April of 2023! I’ve had the great fortune of having an occupational therapist who helped me understand my new diagnosis, she came to my house once a week and stayed an hour and a half each time the whole 1st year.
    (I want to clarify that I’m in no position, nor am I trying to diagnose anyone, & my intent to write this comment is as I stated above to ask a question, & why I chose to implicate myself has solely to do with how women too often goes undiagnosed. Too many isn’t diagnosed until their late 20s even late 30s, and I’ve heard from psychologists and from elderly women who have lived their entire lives feeling they cannot have figure out why they can’t behave as everyone else does, but if they have had the fortune to be properly assessed and got their ASD1 diagnosis so much starts to make sense for them, as it did for me! (+ too many women are initially wrongly diagnosed with borderline personality disorder when in reality they have had ASD1 the whole time! It’s very saddening to hear people tell their stories and I included this as well to highlight the fact of this)
    Respectfully, Grace 🩰

    Well first off I want to thank you for your very frank and very fair assessment of Rachel Wade! And also for your equally fair assessment of the crime! It’s a tragic event that should have never happened and I totally agree with you about the intent, because whether you love her or hate her, I do not believe Rachel in any way shape or form committed cold blooded premeditated murder! I do believe she is remorseful but based on her own behaviors she is her own worst enemy! I do have a question or maybe just my own observation about her behaviors while she is in prison! Could it be that she is doing these things out of self preservation? I mean I don’t know because I have never been to prison but I would think you’d have to look out for yourself or fall in with people that you think might look after you! It’s just a thought! It’s too bad she never got the help she truly needed before this tragedy happened! Someone like Dr Phil that could have gotten to the root cause of her codependent nature. It’s such a shame because despite her rebellious nature she could have had it all! And Sarah as well! I think these two were more a like than they knew!

    • @jenjengomez
      @jenjengomez  3 года назад +1

      I appreciate all of your kind words, and the eloquent way that you stated your opinion and thoughts on everything. You could not have said it any better when you stated that she is her own worst enemy and that her and Sarah were probably much more like than anybody will ever truly know at this point. About what you said regarding self-preservation, very good point! Speaking for myself, while I was in there I can’t say that I didn’t do the same types of things in order to survive in the most comfortable way. I guess I never truly put it in that perspective, and the fact that she still has the same behaviors made it easy to just say that she has not changed. But I will say this, the things that she has done and the reasons that I am saying she has not changed our things that a lot of us did and continue to do in prison to survive. So it’s kind of like saying that someone killed another person in a drunk driving accident, but then as a punishment they were forced to be locked in a bar that serves nothing but alcohol, no other drinks and no other food, for an extended period of time, and then expected to survive. Of course they are going to drink. Codependency is probably the most common thing that you will find in a woman’s prison. If you already come there with a dependency on people and I need for validation and approval, and to add insult to injury that seems to be the very thing that got you in trouble, of course it’s going to look doubly as bad for you as opposed to the next person who may be doing the same exact things but is instead in prison for some thing like selling drugs. The person selling drugs is just going to be considered as a person surviving, as to where the codependent person is going to be considered unchanged and unremorseful. So yes, I think he made an excellent excellent point with that. And I think you are probably 100% right. I guess the only concern at that point would be, if her codependency issue is just a means of self-preservation, that’s OK but if it has already been shown that it can cause her to go to extreme links and continues to still be a present problem, is it something that could become an issue for her again? I guess that would be the only thing that would worry anyone and make me say that her not changing is a bigger problem than the next person simply because her not changing could lead to something very destructive for herself and for someone else has to wear somebody else’s codependency may just lied to them making some foolish decisions while they are in survival mode. But all in all, I think you made an excellent point, I appreciate your kind words and your thoughts, and I thank you for putting that comment out there to give another perspective because it was very insightful. Have a happy Thanksgiving and thanks again for your input. 🙏🥰

Also I had a best friend that was exactly like her, even sort of looked a little like her! Semi related but I had a drug counselor who's been in recovery for over 26 years. There was a point where his mom said "I just want this to be over". Whether it's him dying or getting better- she was at her wits end. Luckily it was the latter and now it's a huge source of inspiration in her life and if it is applicable to the situation- she will tell other people about it.
    So although that's not my experience, I definitely heard other people's experiences about how they can get so fed up that they would rather have their child gone/dead than have to put up with the madness any further. I mean at this point she already set boundaries but was still tired of having to worry about him (OD's/jail/whatever). One way or another she just wanted it to end instead of having this ongoing worrying problem. And when he heard that's how she felt- it hurt him at the time; but now they have a strong relationship and she's involved in her grandbabies lives.

      Well thank you for watching and I’m glad that you are enjoying. Your kind words really make me feel good and I was so super happy when I read your comments! 🥰🙏❤️ I never knew that she was lying until I started talking to people from her county that know her personally and know that she didn’t have a child. Then I started researching when I got out of prison and found an interview where it was said that she did not have any children.. also, I spoke with a few people that dated her and said that she never had any children and that the little girl was her ex-boyfriend‘s daughter. When I started investigating the story, it made perfect sense because Josh had a girl pregnant while all this was going on and that girl had a daughter. So it made perfect sense. The picture that she would show me of her daughter that she was supposedly pregnant with, and that got taken from her, the picture was Josh in a swimming pool with the little girl. Now looking back I can tell that it was a picture that he gave her or that she had from him while he was with his daughter, and had nothing to do with her biological child, because she didn’t have one. It was just one of many lies.

      Ohhh wow!! 🙏❤️🙏 thank you so much, that really means a lot! I’m glad you are enjoying the channel, and I have only been doing this for a little less than six months, when I looked at a lot of the big RUclipsrs, it seemed like most of them didn’t hit a bigger following till about 18 months. You know the algorithms are such a tricky thing also, and because I missed so many years technologically speaking, I do not always know that I do everything correctly. But I’m going to keep going with it, I actually have a video coming out tomorrow, I took a little hiatus and there was a reason for it. I explained in this video coming out, but long story short somebody in prison was upset and saying that I shouldn’t be talking about things that go on in there and suing me and all types of ridiculousness so I just had to check with an entertainment attorney and give the firm on my video so they could let me know if everything was OK or not. I’m pretty sure I followed all the laws that I read, but I just wanted to make sure. With that being said, consistency is a big deal and when I was just gone for these past weeks, I’m sure that didn’t help me. But from here on out, starting with this video I will be back to one video a week like I was in the beginning. Nonetheless, I really enjoy doing it and it’s comments like yours that make me smile and push me to keep going even though my channel is so tiny. I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know, and I hope you continue to let me know if there’s anything you think I can do better or anything you’d like to see. Much love and respect to you, and I hope you have an awesome rest of the week! 🥰 (also, I do have a TikTok, but it doesn’t really involve this, when I got out of prison my skin was completely jacked up, and I had to go through a crazy journey to get my skin looking normal again, I mean it was just terrible. So I am on there, just under jenjen.gomez but I don’t know if you would be interested in that channel.)

    I came across Rachel's case by accident. I don't remember what I was surfing the net about. Anyhow, the verdict hadn't been handed down yet. The whole thing hit me as tragic. I don't know why but I finally decided to write her when she got to Lowell. I've never done anything like this before so I've been writing her ever since. I finally heard back from her 2 months after I first wrote her. I've sent her a number of educational things. Several courses that are geared for prisoners. Bios Queen Victoria, Kay Francis, Ava Gardner, Lana Turner and history books. I was also the one who sent 'Walmartians'. Oh yeah, and the Valentines Day poem (lol). She told me she's passed the books on after reading. Can you tell me what you know about this. Right now she's teaching. What exactly I don't know.

    • @jenjengomez
      @jenjengomez  3 года назад +1

      Yes, she is teaching in the Mentor program. It’s not an educational/academic-based program. It’s a program that one inmate is matched up with another. One inmate being the one who has a long period of time and has been relatively trouble free during her incarceration, the other inmate being somebody very new to the prison who does not know their way around and is trying to just do her very short amount of time in a productive way. It’s kind of like a “big brother, big sister” program where an experienced inmate mentors a new inmate into the prison system and tries to steer the newer inmate in the best direction, clear of the BS that can suck a newbie in on the compound. Honestly Phil, you seem like a really nice and genuine guy. So I’m just gonna tell you how it is. Women, particularly ones that are looking at long sentences are really grooming their skills And refining their talk game, even in the county jail, in order to capitalize off of that in prison and be taken care of financially and/or with other material things. I am not knocking what you do or the fact that you want to help anyone because that is definitely a blessing for her that you were there. But to be completely real with you, Rachel does not have one sugar daddy, and no matter how much she makes you feel that you were the very best and most important person in her life, she spends countless hours on the tablet writing letters, physically writing letters, and on the phone and visitations with many of these individuals. She has to do that because she always has a prison girlfriend and she has to support the prison girlfriend so therefore she has to get money either put into other females accounts using a lie or has to have enough money in her account to be able to share with the girlfriend. I’m sure you’ve been asked to put money in someone else’s account for something that she “wanted to buy”, but that’s not the case.. it’s actually going straight to that persons account.. you are actually giving your hard earned dollars to whoever it is you’re sending the money to and that person is probably the girlfriend of Rachel at that moment. Any boxes or anything extra that she’s ever asked for, that seems out of the normal, trust me it’s not for her it’s for somebody else. I’m sure by now you have formed a bond with her and you probably believe most everything she has told you, as most men do and I don’t want to make you feel crappy after this because none of this is of your doing or your fault. You did an awesome and generous thing by extending your heart, life, and finances to someone whom you thought ended up in a tragic situation. But I can assure you, Rachel is not in anyway shape or form suffering, a victim, going through anything bad in there, nor has she changed at all. If she had gone to prison Phil and truly changed her ways, I would say, “great lesson learned!” But she’s in love triangles in prison over women right now, she still doing the same things, and she’s milking many sugar daddies out of there hard earned dollars, having them put money into other women’s accounts and or buy packages, journals, books, Bibles, catalog, tablets, packages or any other type of material item for these other women. So, I would say this to you. Do whatever makes you happy, if this is what you truly want to do, absolutely 100% Phil do it! But don’t do it under the presumption that you are the only one or that this is some thing more than it is.. I don’t want you to be fooled or blindsided when she is released in eight or nine years and you are left standing there holding the bag bc Rachel takes off and you feel used this entire time. Women in prison actually sit down and teach each other what to say and what to do to hook these “pen-pals” naturally they are very good at finessing and manipulating men with erode and pipe dreams. Rachel is very good at manipulating and very good at finessing men’s feelings. Just don’t be naïve to the game, OK. I’m telling you from somebody that knows, that has been there and done that many times over, and not only that but somebody who knows Rachel very well very personally and on a level that would have been considered best friends at one point in time. We did fall out and my opinion of her is not good for many reasons, however I am an adult and I can separate my biased opinion and give you the truth about the situation. If Rachel was a good girl who was 100% for you and I didn’t think that you would be used and then tossed the moment she got out, I would tell you that. However, that’s just not the case so I cannot tell you that. anyhow, I hope you’re not angry or offended with me about anything I have said, none of it in any way shape or form is a direct attack on you or your character! Like I said, you’ve done nothing but be a great man and you should be applauded for that. Unfortunately, I know how the game goes and I also know that it’s very likely you will go and repeat all of this back to her and question her about things, it’s human nature and it’s what every sugar daddy does whenever they are confronted with the truth. Will let me save you the time, once you confront her, she will give you a bogus story about why I dislike her, some of it may be true and have to do with some events that actually happen in prison but she will sensationalize those events making that much more drastic and much worse than they are and she will blame my accusations in my discussed for her as a person on whatever it is that she is going to bring up. Usually women will say oh yes, she doesn’t like me because we had a fight over this or over that and she’s jealous and she’s mad but it’s not my fault honey, I didn’t do anything wrong it was so and so that was doing this, etc… don’t fall for it, it’s not the case. I know that what I’m saying is going to be hard to digest, and it’s going to be much easier for you to believe whatever Rachel says and if you do, that is completely 100% your decision, I have no dog in this fight, but, since you asked me a straightforward question, I’m going to give you a straightforward answer and let you know that this is the game that these are the way that movies are made and that I don’t recommend that you fall for the okey-doke. Just be smart, guard your heart, and whatever finances or anything else you extend to Rachel over the years, do it expecting nothing in return, because that’s what most men get when a female inmate gets out.. that’s all I’m saying. I don’t want you to be surprised, or hurt because like I said you sound like a very good and genuine man and even though Rachel will make you feel like the sun, the moon, and the stars all revolve around your existence, every sugar daddy gets the same line Phil.. don’t waste all of your good years behind somebody who is going to drop you the moment that they are free. If someone amazing comes along, go for it, you can still write her as a friend, but watch how her actions would change if you were to cut off all finances and or gifts?!?!? Anyhow, I have made this long enough, but all in all just remember to live your life, enjoy your life, meet good people, and if you have a chance to settle down and move on with someone amazing, do it! Don’t be held back by Rachel. Everything I’m telling you is fact and she’s going to twist it all around and finesse you back into being blind, but I really really pray that you see the truth and that you find happiness with someone much better than this girl who portrays a victim but in all honesty that’s not what she is. OK Phil, Take care and let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help you.

Yes, I agree with you and what you said. I did do things wrong and I did deserve a punishment and I did deserve to face the consequences. However, once I was in prison and I started listening to all of the stories and hearing the sentences and the length of time that these women were sentenced to, I was one way that I received as much time as I did for burglary charges. I am not trying to say that I didn’t deserve to get in trouble and go to prison, but 10 years before the circumstances in which I was charged under and the actual charges themselves, particularly when everything was paid back, seemed very very drastic in hindsight. Hello Jen,
    I love your videos and I have been watching many of them.
    The real bad guy is really Josh, but I agree with you that Rachel is a very nasty woman.
    Jen, you are a great lady, a loving mother. You have a big heart, you are very smart and articulate, but your 10 year conviction was way too harsh, compare to Rachel original 8 year!!!
    One last point, I like the alternance of short and long videos.

      Absolutely! I’m so sorry because when I started this channel I did not realize how time-consuming editing was. The process was super confusing to learn as far as the software and I did not anticipate it taking me so long to edit videos but I have most of it pretty down pat now. So now I can edit a video in about two days. Lol that still seems kind of long but I’ll get there lol. Anyhow just to let you know the next video will be out very shortly, I’m going to say Friday and it is a woman that I was in prison with an an awesome true crime story, and almost laughable one, you’ll see what I’m saying once you see it. But I will definitely shoot you a message so that you know it is up and I will have another true crime after that as well since I have been doing so many Prison story times lately my next he will be true crime. Thank you for the support, it really means more than you know! Much respect to you and your family. Talk to you soon 🙏🥰

    I think I remember this happening back in the Nancy Grace era. It’s crazy what young girls will do for a dirtbag. I was involved with a married man (who was getting a divorce) HA. He was older than me! You know how that goes. So he was cheating on the wife with me and cheating on me with one of my friends. When he got a new station his ex wouldn’t go with him and I wouldn’t go either. So my friend thought she had something good going on. They cheated on each other and eventually they got into a fight and he shot her dumb ass in the arm and leg. He was cleaning the gun. Sure Jan! They are still together. Water sinks to its own level for sure.

    There are a lot young women like that and all it takes to end up in a massive mess is to get into a relation with the wrong person. Probably both girls would have been fine if they didn't met that guy.
    I wouldn't judge her behaviour in prison so much because she does have mental health issues and everyone reacts differently to such sentences, some get broken, some get their act together( I would rather comit suicide😂😂😂). After all, it's kind of hard to actually process 27 years when you're barely 20. Plus, it must have been extremely unpleasant to get 27 years when you truely believe you're innocent. And let's not to forgett that prison doesn't cure mental illness be it 8 or 27 years sentence. So, I guess it would be a miracle if she would have changed her behaviour.
    Also, about refusing the 8 year deal, most likely her lawyer didn't really cared to explaine to her and her parents the seriousness of going to trial and the chances of winning.
    In the end, I hope that people that hear this story and have a child or friend that behaves similarly will have more chances in avoiding such a situation.

      Thank you! Some people are kind of mad about it, but honestly Shara, if they look at all the other videos which just shit on everybody story, mine aren’t that bad, I really just give the details and then my personal opinion and even in stories where I didn’t care for the person like Rachel‘s, I give the exact reason why I don’t like the person and I don’t think that it’s wrong because I’m not lying, exaggerating, or boosting anything up that isn’t true. Like Leslies for example I think that that medication had a lot to do with what she did, I think that she was a pretty decent person in there and helped a lot of people in the education room, but because she has a social awkwardness and doesn’t know how to socialize very well, she came across to the psychologist and people testifying on the prosecutions behalf as very cold, calculated, and callous, when I think she just had something else going on with her personality dynamic that made her very socially awkward and very hard to be relatable. Anyhow the truth of the matter is I just love doing these videos, and I figured if I can make extra income for my son and I since we are on our own, that it would be a good platform, I mean the world isn’t chomping at the bit to hired a convicted thief at this point, you know. And all in all I really enjoy doing it, but I am getting some hate mail from people that were locked up with a saying that I shouldn’t be telling their stories, when the truth of the matter is they don’t even know if I contacted the people to ask them, and Shira even if I didn’t, it’s all public record and I feel like telling the story from an honest perspective is better than the media telling it. Even in Rachel story my first couple sentences are the media really doesn’t always get it right so let me clarify some things for the people out there that don’t know these women personally. Anyhow I just feel some type away right now because I’ve been reading some hate mail, but nonetheless thank you for your support and encouragement. I love you much and it really meant a lot to just read that!🥰🙏🥰🙏

    Well hi there. Just wanted to say I really find your videos interesting. My name is Sheryl and I am actually a correctional officer. This comment doesn't have much to do with this video but since its the most recent I figured I'd comment on it here. I really want to share a technique with you that I use at work and I would love to get your thoughts on it. Basically I wanted to come up with a quick way to grab my inmates attention after it took us too long to break up a fight once. So what I do is I yell 'TROUBLE' and when I do, the inmates know they have to drop what they are doing, line up and wait further instructions. My inmates picked this up really quick and I only had to explain it once. I even do what I like to call "trouble drills" with them to practice. This has been very helpful with breaking up fights, count times, searches, when I need to cuff a few up etc. I chose the word 'trouble' cause its an easy identifiable word. Plus if I have to yell it, that means trouble is happening or coming or you are about to be in trouble. The inmates always seem to appreciate this as I believe they know I'm doing this for their safety and it helps me keep them safe. Other officers started doing this too which was very cool to see. After a while, both inmates and officers started calling me Officer Trouble and the name stuck. My question to you is, as an inmates, would you have had an issue with me using this on you? And I'd love to get your general thoughts on this technique as well. Thank you for reading and I hope you don't mind the long comment :)

      Thank you for watching the videos, I think you will find my next prison story video very interesting as it is about what happened in the prison showers at the female prison here in Florida, not sure what state you were in but I am sure it’s generally probably the same just in every prison. Well at least the female ones. Nonetheless, regarding your question. I think that you having a codeword to grab everyone’s attention and alert them that something is going on and possibly could escalate so they need to stop what they are doing and pay attention because maybe someone is about to get sprayed may be other inmates need to get out of the way, or any sort of thing like that, to me that seems like a very good idea. Prison when it is effectively ran, should fall somewhere between a school or educational program, and a military or discipline-based structural program. I think that is the best way to look at a very efficient and effective environment in a prison system, and should lie somewhere in between those two, not leaning more one way than the other. So I think that what you were doing is actually pretty freaking awesome because in the prison I was at whenever they would wanna get everyone’s attention they would literally just walk in and start screaming, get on your beds, and of course everyone knew this meant something was going on, however, after a while everyone became desensitized to it and started taking their time making their way to their beds because they knew that a lot of the time it was nothing more than a white shirt walking on the floor to do a security check or something of that nature, and not an actual emergency. One sergeant at our prison had a whistle, and although I found it very annoying, the whistle was very effective in getting everyone’s attention, but only because he literally used it in actual emergencies, and not just to get peoples attention that weren’t paying him attention. In my opinion, I think the only way that you could really go wrong with your tactic, is if you start using that word to simply get inmates attention to tell them something very basic, or just because it’s too loud in there, or simply because they are not listening. I think eventually they will become desensitized and not really pay much attention if you overdo it, kind of like the boy who cried wolf. But if you actually use it in emergency situations, I think it should work great. The only other thing that I think you could possibly run into that’s negative, is if other officers over use the word and make it to where it doesn’t have its value anymore in the way that you intended it to. But other than that yeah I think it’s a pretty good idea because I know that a lot of girls in the prison I was at have gotten hurt by just being in the line of fire when officers are rushing in, using their spray, or if they have to use physical force, and they just didn’t move quick enough to get out of the way. So yes I think that’s very good, and I could be wrong, but you seem to have a very caring undertone towards your job, and while I understand you are going to work with a lot of a holes that may Harden you overtime, don’t ever lose the human component to yourself, because more so than affecting the inmates lives, which is part of why I’m saying this, but even more so than that, I think that when officers become incredibly cold and shut down and detached from the human aspect of life dealing with inmates day in and day out and having to put on this armor in this front, I think it affects their life, their health, and their home setting, I was close to the lot officers and I kind of saw that manifest in front of my eyes, so don’t ever lose the human component of your job and of the people that you were talking to, let the asshole inmates fall by the wayside, and know that there might be some good people in there that just fell into an addiction or made a terrible mistake, but at their core could be decent people. Because the way you treat others whether it’s deserved or not, I think at the end of the day ultimately really affects us as well. It’s kind of like that forgiveness thing, you know you have to forgive others in order for you to heal and it’s not really about forgiving them for their peace of mind it’s more about forgiving them for your peace of mind. So yeah, just remember not to harden too much because I think it will affect you more than it actually affects the inmates. Other than that, feel free to message me about anything and I think that it seems like you’re doing pretty awesome, if there’s anything I can do better my videos or there’s anything you wanna know about specifically from my side of the glass, I’ll be more than happy to let you know. And I will definitely send you a message when the prison shower video comes out tomorrow or the next day, because I think you’ll find it pretty interesting and raw, I was very detailed. Lol. I don’t know if the notification bell works so hope you enjoy let me know if there’s anything I can do better. @@jenjengomez Thank you so much for the detailed response. I will 100% check out the shower video! I am looking forward to it actually. To answer your question, I am actually in Georgia. And yes, I only use it in dire situations. But you are so right! If my 'TROUBLE' is used too much, it could lose its effectiveness. Other officers do use this and I will mention that to them. Thank you so much for bringing that to my attention. I don't think I would have realized that. The whole idea was to use this and when they hear me yell TROUBLE, they know shit is going down. But if its used for things like they are being too loud, it would lose its effectiveness and they could brush it off. In a way, its kind of like my safeword with them. They hear it and they should think "uh oh, we need to line up, something bad is happening" How would you have reacted to me yelling TROUBLE? Would you have immediately listened and lined up? I agree with you about not losing the human aspect on the job. That is tremendous advice. I feel I haven't and wont. I have a great sense of humor that I bring to work everyday(inmates love me and hate me for that same reason lol). I truly care about all inmates in my custody. We are all human. Most just made a bad decision. It could happen to anyone. I always treat them with respect and most of the time I get it back. I consider myself a very strict officer, but I'm always consistent with it and I feel they respect me for that. I loved reading your thoughts and I appreciate you taking time to respond! Your insight if very valuable to me. I will definitely leave you more messages. Just know you are doing a good thing with your videos. You did your time and it looks like you came out well. Basically, if what you're saying is truthful, Mrs. I'm heartily with you; if for no other reason than that he wasn't a good man. It seems he had issues and liked to watch ladies fight- downright self-centered if you ask me, and pretty darn childish at that... so he was engaged in mind-games with them all the while.
    I mean, it is hilarious to listen to this soap opera situation, but it really is downright tragic and quite pathetic; and believe me, he needed a new hobby- he is a disaster zone- and I *know* ethical disaster zones at that... I didn't need this kind of guy to know an ethical disaster zone- the Eastern Bloc fits in quite nicely for that role!
    Frankly, this whole tragedy looks to be rooted as a "lust triangle" between teenagers from what was going on and the extreme dysfunction of these relationships- nothing good could come of that!
