Song: Options Menu/Staff Credits Composer: Brian Coburn* Game: Sonic Spinball (1993) [Sega Mega Drive/Genesis] *The actually composer of this... song? Sure... remains unknown, with it being between Howard Drossin, Brian Coburn, and Barry Blum. However, due to instrumental similarities to Lava Powerhouse, a song that has been confirmed to be composed by Brian, I would say it's safe to assume that Coburn was the composer for this piece.
The tesla coils seems to be toned down a bit, making it easier to hear the others instruments without completely removing the tesla coils, which is nice.
That's what I think, too. I couldn't find a recording of this on real hardware anywhere on RUclips (unless I'm blind), so I did it myself. Much, much better!
I *think* that depends on the TV you're using. My TV plays nice with the 60Hz signal while using RGB Scart, but AV is in black and white. Other than that, I don't have any issue with video output, but I have read that some people have minor problems with artifacting and such. Music is luckily not affected! (Should also note that I am not an expert by any means, so anyone is free to correct me if I'm wrong)
Nah, I used to play this game on original hardware and still sounded noisy and loud. My mom always scolded when I entered the options due to the irritating Tesla coils poor imitation.

This is the only genesis song that sounds significantly different and better on real hardware rather than just quieter and compressed

It's 1000x better when recorded on a real hardware

It’s still so grating but I think I can hear the vision
The "punch" sounds sound better
sounds so much better
MM!!...Brings me back.
Finally. Also, how does the 60hz mod affect video output?

@@PKspectre I was just curious. I live in the United States so everything here is 60 hz, but I have a bit of a secondary interest in console modding
People who played this on emulator are the only people complaining about this song 😂
true
@emptyglass7867 I have the real hardware and even an old tv it sounds really good to me
@emptyglass7867i have a real sega genesis it doesnt sound bad, it only sounds bad on emulators cause the gems music driver is always emulated poorly
