I just want you to know how meaningful it has been to watch your series. I am stuck with cancer, chemo and covid in Virginia and greatly miss travel. I had always wanted to take a trip on a narrowboat in the English canals. You have given that to me. Thank you!

Would also like to add that Keven is a pretty fantastic video editor and narrator. Please keep up all your amazing work Mr. Shelly. Ha yes David, the thought did cross my mind but I weighed up the odds of someone delivery two frozen pies in a sealed food bag and who just happened to be in the Tewitfield area AND knew I was going to be there around that time. It's a difficult job but someone has to do it. :)
Nice little thing just happened...I clicked on this video and turned away to pick up something on the floor when I heard Aslan's industrious "banging(?)" And found myself smiling. Too cool! Dang! Those pies made me hungry. And I'd just had supper. You're a lefty. There's 2 kinds of people in the world...southpaws and those that wish they were.
I just finished this-- after watching all 7 seasons. This is the best tranquilizer made... :-) Man oh man, wish I was there- alas, awaiting back surgery in 3 weeks- and this is the most relaxing video I've ever seen-- and will probably watch all 7 seasons again. Thanks a million!
Aw back surgery. Hope it sorts out your problem, Neil. I used to suffer badly with crippling back pain, caused by a Spina Bifida Occulta that I have. Got so bad the only option was to have 3 vertebrae fused together, which would have reduced mobility considerably. Strangely however, once I got on the boat, the pain ended and hasn't returned since. Best wishes,

It's been 3 weeks & we just haven't had enough! Both myself & my husband thoroughly enjoy your videos. We'll go along with you on a narrowboat, motorcycle or on foot. It's an event when we see a new video posted. (Picture the 1950s, when dad shouts for everyone to gather around the television & they all come running.) At our house you'll hear, "HURRY honey!!! A new CHG video!". Although my husband is from Lancashire, I have never had the pleasure of visiting England. Someday...... We will continue to look for new posts & wish you all the best on your travels & life in general! We appreciate the time & work that goes into your channel. We live in a beautiful area in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. (Seattle-ish) - LOTS of boating to be had! If you ever get to these parts, we'd be happy to welcome you! You feel like a member of the family so, consider yourself hugged! (BTW, this is not Paul, it's his wife, Pam) Take care!!!
I've met those types on the Thames mate. Normally a highly polished fibre glass hull with Clarence and penelope sipping G&t dressed in pure white Sunday best. Definitely didn't feel comfortable sharing a lock with them. My 70ft of hard steel doesn't agree with fibreglass hulls. 😅. Lovely scenery look forward to the next vid
Such a great video, Kevin. You have the golden touch with great photography and just enough commentary, all with the soothing chug of Aslan. I have to admit, the intro music is a bit of an ear worm now too! Next for those of us in the states who enjoyed Downton Abbey, maybe we could see York and Ripon by narrow boat?
I love little baby ducks, old English canals, slow moving Aslan, and rain. So happy you finally completed the Lancaster. Why it does not connect, is baffling because I need to see those locks working. Thank you for the wonderful landscapes and I really loved the canal-side gardens. Having a cuppa to ya, mate, tho it really be hot chocolate!
Kevin you are a wonderful man, I envy you doing this journey, and owning Aslan, I have allways wanted to spend time on a narrow boat, but my best friend , my hubby, died , you have made me addicted to your wonderful life on those canals, so stay safe keep eating pork pies and big hugs for you, thank you. 🥰
I had CC viewing on. When you arrived at Tewitfield and announced finally here after two years, the CC interpreted the background M6 traffic noise flashing -up the caption as "Applause". Well certainly that was well deserved! CC also said "chew-it ville" and low an behold some pies showed up to chew on!
Good morning, Kevin! Aslan's chugga-chugga-chug helped me turn around my not so great morning. I had a doctor's appt at 8 am in a town an hour away and my car would not start and I had just had my alternator replaced the prior week. :) I've been waiting on this appt. for 3 months and after my trip to ER last week, I am concerned it's not actually an ulcer, so not a happy camper at all. After maybe 2 minutes of watching and hearing Aslan, I was in a much better mood and no longer felt like screaming at the top of my lungs. :) I can't wait for you to start your next canal adventure! Happy Trails, Kevin!
Love to start my day with a narrow boat cruise... such beautiful country...I love the fact also you don't skip over the not so pretty spots makes it fell very real!....keep going! your the best

Feels like Christmas every time a new CHG video arrives. Wishing I could buy a narrowboat and do the same. Thanks for the smiles Kevin.
Kevin, hope you are well. Look forward to your next outing. Take care. Cheers
Thank you Kevin. I have watched every season on Amazon Prime and now found you on RUclips. My wife and I have a Transit camper van of my wife's design and I picture myself as CHG of California, traveling the highways and byways in our retirement bearing in mind your relaxed manner (and not like a maniac).
Cheers Rob. Traveling in the camper sounds like a plan. Continual moving is good for the mind, body and soul. Have fun 🙂
Very enjoyable vid mate👍 wouldn't it be marvelous if the canal was reopened all the way to Kendal.....amount of joy and prosperity it would bring.
Cheers. Yes, who knows, one day.
Kevin, looks like maybe wet weather coming your way. Take care my friend. Hope you are well. Enjoying country house gent merch. T-shirt and mug. (Laughing at “maniac”) Cheers,
Kevin, you’re looking great and sounding relieved that you can travel about, take care, cheers Charlie from Pennsylvania
Absolutely stunning countryside...really enjoyed it thank you ........thoes pies looked yummy.....stay safe xxxxx
Excellent video again. Thanks so much for sharing. Keep well and I look forward to the next one. Cheers
Nice to see you Kevin and hear aslan again look forward to more of your vlogs stay safe
Thanks for the wonderfully refreshing and intersting videos!
You're very welcome. Pleased you enjoyed it. Cheers, 🙂
Cool, love it. Yes it does get stuck in the mind, on 'loop play'. Cheers ☺
Love from New Zealand.. Xx.
Oh so sorry to hear that Sue.
Dear oh dear. Mind you, nowt wrong with lots of applause. :)
Thanks for more lovely views of the gorgeous English landscape, Kevin! Hmmm my first thought was also Si King LOL
I enjoyed that. A good surprize to wake up to 2 pies. Keep well.
Aha! Kevin and Aslan all of the lovely wildlife in the Lancaster canal. Such a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning. Thanks to you Kevin.
Kev,your definitely the pie master. What a nice surprise.
Thanks, Kevin. I follow your journeys and your fortunes with fond interest.
Hello Brenda. Always nice to hear from you. Hoping you are keeping well?
I guess you know you’re really famous when pies fall from heaven onto your doorstep! Haha!
Thanks for another great vlog- love the lambs
Thank you for another great video. Nice to see all the activity along the canal again.
I'm with you!! Never want to repeat!! Enjoyed the video. 🙂
Love to start my day with a narrow boat cruise... such beautiful country...I love the fact also you don't skip over the not so pretty spots makes it fell very real!....keep going! your the best
Kevin, that was a wonderful idea flying your drone up the old lock. It's an ideal shot for the video and adds to the story. Nice Directing!
Thank you Frank. Yes gives an idea of what it could be like.
Those Pies looked delicious indeed, what a lovely gesture from Si The Pie, another awesome Vlog there Kevin, and Aslan. 😎👍👌😉🥧🥧
Great vlog as usual , so glad that you finally made it to your destination And what a treat to open your door and find a couple of pies. Can't wait for the next vlog. Cheers 👍👍
I have now watched ALL of your videos!!! I am amazed how fit and healthy you look now compared to the very first video. Great job!!!! Narrowboating life certainly agrees with you. Now I want to see MORE!
Awesome job Kevin (and Aslan). Seems like the natural order is once again in place, Thanks so much for sharing.
