Made me laugh how you had to buy William crease protectors for his new trainers, when we were young I remember how we made them look worn and grubby as it wasn’t “cool” to have pristine clean/ new looking trainers… how time has changed! Loved your haul .. just like to say how much you suit red , the T-shirt you wore at the beginning of the vlog looked lovely x
It's so ridiculous. When he tried them on in the store, I asked him if they hurt his feet because he was walking like a penguin 😂 all because he didn't want a crease 😂😂😂😂😘
Hello lovely Dawn ☀️ It’s always good to have a clear out isn’t it? Very cleansing for the soul. I have a lovely view of a steam train station from my bedroom window, here in my little Cotswolds village. I love the train whistles, the steam clouds and the traditional train noises, very nostalgic! It’s supposed to reach the giddy heights of over 30 degrees this week here, hope you get some sunshine where you are too. Take care 🌸🌼💕
Hi Dawn, this is my third attempt at posting, I keep losing my message!! I have regular clear outs but half the stuff ends up going back into my wardrobe - George's goes straight in the charity bags or the bin - no second chances for his stuff 🤣. It was nice to see William, he's grown into a fine young man - but the crease protectors made me smile. I could do with an IT expert, George can't even send a text! The craft shop looked amazing - too tempting by far xx

Hello again. Lovely catch up and we see William. If anyone looked in my bathroom cabinet they would think we had a baby. Sudocreme, baby wipes, baby shampoo and baby oil which came in useful for me this week. I had my second cataract surgery and have to wear an eye patch for a few nights. The sticky tape to attach it is super sticky but baby oil soon gets it all off. Enjoy your week. I hope your weather is as nice as here and you get out on your boat xx
Wow - I am up way past my usual bed time trying to get a princess sole to work on the socks I’m making. Suddenly I see that I am the second person to watch this episode. That must be some sort of record! Nice to see William a bit. Have a nice Sunday. See you next week. Salam wa sa’aadah
The finished socks worked out just fine - although when they came off the needles they looked like crumpled pretzels! My friend, apparently, has very sensitive soles and, especially on thinner socks, she is bothered by the “bumps” on the inside of the sock. A “princess sole” is just made by purling the bottom of the sock stitches so that the “bumps” are on the outside. I had to think about doing that on the heel turn, and the bottom of the toe so it was a bit of mind juggling. It took a while to get used to doing it. The end result - on the feet - they worked out very well. My friend says that it is actually a noticeable difference. Yeah!
