Now, let's assume the number is 1251.125, then the single precision format would be 0(sign bit as +ve number) 10001001(8 bit exponent) 00111000110010000000000(23 bit Mantissa---here we need to take the whole N as Mantissa, even after that if there are not 23 bits, then we have to add 0s to the right as padding 0 to the right doesn't change the value of a floating point number.
