  • Just as in Peter’s day, the world still scoffs at the promise of Christ’s return. In this message, Alistair Begg reviews Peter’s description of the day of the Lord, when all will be judged and the heavens and earth renewed. Scripture’s focus isn’t on calculating when these events will occur. Instead, Christians are to prepare for Christ’s return by living holy lives in light of what we know and by calling our friends and neighbors to faith in the Gospel.

Jesus is Patient with us all to come to repentance to the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen Alleluia. Love in Christ from Jesus and Sylvia Nazareth.

2Pe3 is about Jesus coming in judgement within a generation and the scoffing at the time.

Search the scriptures to distinguish between the Day of Christ/The Day of our Lord Jesus and the Day of the Lord.
I take issue with his denial of the Rapture! He needs to sharpen his eschatology! 😊

I reckon the reason Jesus hasn’t returned is because everybody’s name who is written in the Book of Life hasn’t been born yet or hasn’t been converted. Remember our names have been written in the Book of Life since before the world began. Once this individual has been converted it’s “Everyone, out of the pool”. I don’t think God is going to unnecessarily keep us living in this sinful world a second longer than we have to. God, I believe is not waiting patiently for any person, any straggler to convert. Only those He chose. The others will never turn to Christ because not one person, in and of himself seeks after God, not one.
