- I built this under the guidance of Jordan Cavinee from 2" steel pipe. The bowl is an MD Whistles product from my Hancock 3 Chime whistle. In this video, it was blown on 175psi air pressure. I will blow it on steam in November in Youngstown Ohio. Video to follow.
I'm sure your neighbors just love you !! 😁😁😁😁
Sounds good my man!

I'm wanting to make something just like this!

Thank you very much
@@kb3mzw how did you make the bace
@@steamlocomotive611producti5 the bowl is an MD whistles cast bowl. I DoD not male that part. Just the bell
Do you have rough dimensions and a few up close pics for those of us who'd like to give making one a try?
sounds great
+bbjimbo Thank you!
do you have any plans available so I could construct my own? thanks!
Unfortunately I don't have any official plans for this. I just kinda built it as I went along with it so to speak. I can tell you I used 2" black steel pipe and cut each chamber to the lengths provided by the Santa Fe railroad 6 chime whistle drawings "which you can google by the way", and gave each chime tube a 45 degree angled cut on the bottoms and welded steel caps on the tops. Then I welded them all together in a honeycomb style "looking at it from the top or bottom", all around a center tube of the same material which is what the threaded rod goes through to mount to a provided whistle bowl. I didn't make the bowl, it's an MD replica from my Hancock 3 chime. Hope that helped. Good luck with your build!
AWESOME!!
good!
Must have spooked a lot of birds out thair
+Adam Chancellor LOL I wouldn't be surprised if it did
What notes are being sounded?
What kind of compressor do you use to fill your air tank? And what kind of tanks would you suggest?
Mine is an 80 gallon up to 170psi and in this video I hooked up a 40 gallon propane tank to the compressor tank for more storage and to mount the whistle directly
poor neighbors
are they available for sale, can you make another one ?
I'm afraid at this time I don't have the spare time available to build these for customers. Sorry. However if I ever do, I'll put them out there for sale
Where can one get the separate valve?
The valve is a 1, 1/4" lunkenheimer I found on eBay. They show up on there every now and then
