I'm glad that "Who Killed Kennedy" was added to this line. It's a cracking read but feels awkward having it as a stand-alone book when "Downtime"and "The Ghosts of N-Space" were also included as Missing Adventures
My collection of Missing Adventures is miniscule but managed to find four of the ones i was really interested in on the cheap. Managra, System Shock, State of Change and Bucephalus. Honestly been wanting to read System Shock for years, so very excited for it arriving.
Although they are hugely inconsistent quality-wise and often overly self-indulgent, and even though most of them are written by Christopher Bulis, I do still have a lot of love for this series. Some of them are really imaginative and clever.
I got Romance of Crime in 2017 because it was second hand, signed and $3 and I had no idea that it was a special book from a non-television book range until about last year when I read it and then watched a documentary on one of the Dr Who dvd's where they talked about how they kept the show alive in the wilderness years, then this year I've been trying to collect what I can so I can read it. I recently spent $20 and got four New Series Adventures.
Amazing collection Jules 👍 Only got 8 of these: • Goth Opera • State Of Change • Time Of Your Life • Dancing The Code • The Sorcerer’s Apprentice • The English Way Of Death (BBC books reissue from 2015) • Killing Ground • Twilight Of The Gods Also will you be covering the Virgin New Adventures in the future?
Jules, great collection, I have one of these, Evolution, which has some sherlockian tie in, I enjoy seeing books that I do not collect as much as I do seeing books I do collect, always something new to learn and appreciate, thank you!
Fantastic, i have 4 of these. Ordered the man in the velvet mask. Any reviews of it? Have Who Killed Kennedy, as well as Cold Fusion included. Goth Opera I really enjoyed. Great collection, you lucky man!

A good point. Great book though👍
I don't blame them for bringing back companions like Dodo and Mel, because they could always use better material to enhance their characterizations.
Absolutely 👍🙂
Brilliant video, very clear and thought out. Absolutely brilliant
Thanks so much, very good of you to say🙂. Lots more classic Dr Who content planned.

Excellent, they are all still out there🙂
I own many if not most of these, but I don't think I ever actually read any of them. This video makes me want to do so at long last!
That's good🙂
Great video Jules I am a big fan of Classic Doctor Who 😀👍
Thanks a lot Paul, appreciate the support🙂

Great stuff Jed, thanks 👍
❤❤ really great video I have a lot of those books in my collection
Excellent, they are a terrific read 🙂

Nice, that seems a bargain, these of course are fantastic!🙂 Good luck with your collection.
@@JulesBurt Thanks.

Definitely covering The New Adventures books as soon as lockdown is lifted🙂
I've only got Goth Operas that's a really great book
Absolutely, excellent book. 🙂
Twilight of the Gods is one of the best and imaginative Dr.Who stories in any medium ❤️
It is indeed excellent 👍

Thanks Gary, these are a great series, worth picking up if you see them. Did you know I was once in a Dr Who story?

Thanks Paul, some great titlies in this run👍
Thanks, great video! I’m struggling to track most of these down :(
Thanks, yes, they are getting harder to track down.
I also wonder why "Who Killed Kennedy" was published outside of the Missing Adventures banner. Seems like an odd and arbitrary choice.
I would definitely give the sequel to Talons a try. I know what you mean about Kennedy, doesn't make sense does it?!
The novels and the audio dramas vastly improved Mel’s character.
For sure buddy!👍
Very impressive, these are not easy to find now. Some can be pricey as well
Absolutely, they are great books that are still in demand.
@JulesBurt don't know yet if you've done a video of the 50th anniversary books but players is probably my favourite "none tv novel"
@paulchapman4241 I've not Paul, in time.
Have you read the Shadow Of Weng Chiang, Jules?
Yes, it's one of the best ones.👍
Im after these books
Most are fairly cheap but a handful are seemingly scarce and will cost you, unfortunately.
@@JulesBurt For example the 2nd Doctor Missing Adventure "The Dark Path" goes for a pretty.
Yep, that's an expensive one. 👍
which one do we prefer?
Missing adventures + new adventures
or
Past doctor adventures + 8th doctor adventures
I'd go EDA and PDA tbh
I prefer PDA🙂
EDA/PDA all the way
I'd say I prefer the Missing Adventures to the PDAs.
But prefer the 8DAs to the New Adventures
I'm with you there👍
Awesome
Thanks my friend 🙂
