  • The security stories I told some time ago are gaining some interest so I figured I could tell some more. This one busts some of the myths about big charities and where your money really ends up.. It also ended with me pretty sure I was going to die! Who knew a surveillance job would be so dangerous!

    As someone that volunteered for a large charity, I'm never going to give money to a charity.
    I give directly to people that need it
    The amount of money thats wasted and embezzled is insane

      @@Alpha_blossom not if I'm on a proper site of course but if you do customer service especially in winter people will often be thankful for having their heating or warm water fixed. Especially if you fix it without costing them an arm and a leg people will often tip.
      Mind you this is germany so its not expected and usually just 5-10€.
      Poorer people are more likely to tip than richer people. Also old people like tipping you.

    Funnily enough years ago we had some people saying they were collecting from a well known dog home in London. After researching they were from one of these big companies.

      Pretty much every large charity outsources the collection. It is very disingenuous.

      And if it looks like you're sponsoring this one animal, you and 10,000 other people are too. I hate the way they write up the pamphlets to suggest your donation is the only one feeding this poor animal.

    Very few big charities actually give more than 10% to the people that it’s actually supposed to help.

      The Salvation Army here is a charity that fronts for an investment group. The head guy at the shelter is in his 30s, and makes almost $200k a year. (That's a good living in my state).

    Just found your channel, great stories. When i was a cop i really liked the bouncer/security guys. They took care of business before i could get there. I always talked the customers out of trying to press charges against the bouncers. It made my job easier. You guys had a rough job.

    When I was a wee lad, I used to go with my mother and we used to collect for Plunket (a child charity in New Zealand). Like you say, the poor neighborhoods (our neighborhood) actually gave a lot.

    One thing I don’t have much faith in is charities. I’m sure there’s some good ones. If I ever have some extra money I will use it to help people I will not give it to charity. I will find people that need help.

    If you really were a police officer and they did stab you, their whole operation would have been shut down and the law would shit on them big time. I have had similar thing happen to me, where I was accused of being a police officer and punched. I mean isn't hitting or stabbing a policeman the most stupidest thing a villain can do? Even threatening a Police officer will have serious consequences and I wonder how intelligent these idiots are.

      People in the expensive homes would be more likely to have standing orders on their bank accounts automatically donating to charities every month rather than giving one off donations to someone knocking on their door.
      You might like to think of the salt of the earth underdogs keeping everything going but it doesn't work like that in reality. Rich people basically pay for everything, including the council estates all this happened at.

      I worked out 5 days a week. I was competing in Powerlifting (drug tested). I ate 7 meals per day of clean, home made food. I never ate takeaway food, I didn't drink alcohol.

      @@malcolmmacnab698 Well you guessed wrong so well done Malcolm. I started balding at about 17yrs old. Anyone can consume multiple meals. Most (like you) don't because it takes hard work and discipline. It's much easier for you to sit at home and critique hard workers in the comment section. Best to be honest.
