I don't think it's underrated. I'd say more overlooked or taken for granted. I tried to figure it out as a kid who didn't know much 38 years ago and was close having the note not sounds right. Now I'm old and haven't played in a long while and there are those tricky hops. No question that Colin knows the entire fretboard well and not just scales
