Wow! What a day! Where to begin?
Well let's start with what was not included in the vlog, Tom Brady and Tom Wagner in the Roost and George. Devastatingly, we'd just missed them as we were still travelling down at the time. Dad dropped us off outside but as we were queueing to get in we kind of knew they'd gone already. Shame but we did meet Steven Knight!
We were excited to meet him anyway but we felt compelled to ask him for a podcast. I'd never asked anyone in person before so I was a bit nervous. He was a proper gent though and agreed to come on. Hopefully that episode will be out very soon!
I also went and got the new kit too. Wasn't a great fan of it at first but it's growing on me. I love the darker blue neck and sleeve cuffs, but I'm still not a fan of the pattern. It doesn't ruin it, it just feels a bit irrelevant. But anyway, I'm rambling.
I wanted to win today... desperately. I firmly believed a win would put us in good stead. It's the bounce that was needed for such a long time and the way the American's conducted the day was excellent! It galvanised the fans. Hooked us before the day even begun.
Their Hollywood entrance into the brand new Kop reception, the pyrotechnics in the build-up, and the brilliant, touching tribute to Trevor Francis, and the inclusion of Jasper Carrot was the icing on the cake. All we needed now was to win.
It was a close 45 minutes, not too much to shout about but the second half we were dominant. However it didn't feel it was going to come. Kevin Long had us believing we'd took the lead but a split second later we realised it went over! Agonisingly close.
A wonderful switch from Siriki Dembele, and in slipped Ethan Laird behind Dan James who bought down the pacey full-back to win a 90th minute penalty in front of the Kop. There was a slight delay from the ref to give the decision but nevertheless he awarded us.
Such a mixture of emotions as Juke stepped up. He's so reliable, yes, but his record from the spot is poor. I was nervous, we all were.
The ref blew, up he stepped, down the middle, off Meslier's feet, but into the far top corner, 1-0! I'd never felt so relieved!
The Juke did an American-themed touchdown celebration and with the Blues fans bursting into We're On Our Way and We've Got Our Club Back, the game was ours!
A massive roar went up as the final whistle blew. We'd gotten the 3 points that I'm sure in the long run will be crucial into the further development of the club. A day to remember, to cherish, to celebrate. It was poetic that Juke scored the winning penalty. He's been a hero for the club ever since he joined us back in 2016.
A terrific second half performance. Long may the good vibes continue.

Blues are back there something in the air its different its class its comfort with Wagners arms wrapped around the club. The improvements in 6 weeks on stadia etc is brilliant. We wont win them all we wont get ahead of ourselves but my god we going to have some fun on this seasons road of partizan
