Why would he go after iger just because of a comment iger said..vs amc who deliberately smacks the consumers on the face with their underhanded tactics?
@@TheSeraphrim Because what Iger is doing does waaaay more harm to people. He said that the union demands are excessive. What's excessive is his salary.
@@j04370859 I don't understand why anyone would be a fan of Iger. The guy is a King Pin, just like any of those other CEO's that earn that amount of money while they're employees are having a bad time.
@@yarimoWhile I wish John would be vehemently behind the writers and actors, what he said wasn't necessarily a defense of Iger. Technically, when iger says residuals are unrealistic, he's right, because streaming isn't bankable per view, which is why it's losing the studios money. What I wish John had said was that the onus is on Iger and the other execs to have not botched the transition from cable to streaming and that it's their responsibility to organize streaming in a way that actors make as much as they did before.
I work in a corporate-owned lumber yard in Alberta because of the AMTPT's greed -- everything up here is shut down because we were the ones on the ground who made Yellowjackets, The Last of Us, Fargo, etc, etc. happen. On set, it was carefully monitored and mandated that us grunts would have cycles of rest, plenty of breaks, plenty of food, etc. Heat breaks, cold breaks -- we didn't all get heated tents, let alone trailers, but the unions helped keep things liveable. Under more direct corporate rule, it's been 27C+ with government air quality advisories because of the prevalent wildfires. We're also working on asphalt, which *kinda* makes it hotter. And some of us get to sit in forklifts, which are basically greenhouses. Can you guess the *pre-emptive* response to us doing physical labour, in that heat, in that air quality? They hired an extra manager to make sure we aren't taking too many breaks. We also now have to request to write-offs for bottles of water. The corporation I work for brought in roughly 2/3 last year of what Netflix will this year, based on the projections you offered in the podcast. Don't ever doubt how awful these corporate ghouls can be. If Bitch Papa Iger is concerned about strikes being "disruptive" from his Billionaire Day Camp (literally the colloquial name from which he gave his now infamous statements), maybe think about what Universal might do to keep folks from disrupting its public face. Cutting trees to make strikers uncomfortable is DIRECTLY in their wheelhouse. PS - It'd be nice to hear you talk about us little guys who are hurting because of the AMTPT's greed rather than talking about how much Netflix is gonna make. Not just us industry grunts in other countries that rely on US productions. The restaurants and hoteliers and gas stations and all the local services that are losing out. I can't blame it all on heat stroke, I'm always a whiny bitch, but I don't just speak for myself when I say it'd be nice to hear from someone so many of the folks who are related to this industry, directly or indirectly, respect so much. Love the show
I live in a country where different price tiers in movie theatres have always been a thing for as long as I can remember, and it was never a problem. It was usually just divided to the front and the back half of the theatre though and there's like 1€ difference, so not as weirdly distributed as AMC have been doing it XD
This year I really have to say it’s worth to have a flatrate option in your place’s cinema if possible, long time that I have been in cinema so many times in a row 😂 GotG3, ATSV, MI, Barbieheimer, Just Crazy 😵💫
So they can tell how many minutes each streaming show has had but they don’t know how many views streaming shows gets for residuals for writers & actors 🙃
When I saw M:I 7 in the cinema the other day, they played an advert before the film, promoting watching M:I 7 in the cinema I was already in. THEY PLAYED AN ADVERT TELLING US TO WATCH THE FILM IN THE CINEMA, WHILE WE WERE IN THE CINEMA WATCHING THE FILM.
For whatever reason I put off No Country For Old Men until I saw it on a plane; maybe it was a combination of the beautiful Coen landscapes with being able to look out over our planet, maybe it was that it was so good I immediately bought it upon landing, maybe it's because I still watch the coin toss scene if I feel like getting chills in my bones* -- and it's now EASILY in my Top 20 All Time. BUT, I think because I, like John, have a fear of heights, the film's balance of intensity with the calmness of Brolin's character in face of said intensity, helped ease my nerves to the point that I actually was willing to look out the window. *Gene Jones, the gas station clerk, actually gets a lot of the key screen time and NAILS it. The gentleman has also appeared in The Hateful Eight and apparently has a role in Killers of the Flower Moon.
The idea that streaming is a replacement for theatrical baffles me how many buy into that (investors). I’m convinced it’s because Netflix had no competition and already “won” against rental stores and they needed some other competitor for the time to prove they have room to grow. But you can’t take a movie that makes money in theaters, dvds, and then streaming revenue and only replace it with the streaming revenue. You’re taking the cake away from the whip cream 😂
No Disney+ shows means no Daredevil! If Daredevil was their 1 of 2 shows a year for several seasons as a mostly legal procedural with 12-18 episodes, I'd be ok with that, the rest as films.
I Love This Show And Crew! Y’all get me out of Most of my funks and I greatly appreciate you guys! Now I’m about to head over to ThePostGeekSingularity Network and get my Dose Of UNCLE BOBBY & The Imagination society!

She also developed powers becuse of the Krangs so yeah some liked that April some did´t becuse honestly she become thier Jean Grey. Rise of the TMNT again a Young April, black this time with purple curly hair and glasses. Funny thing all this Aprils were either trained in some way to fight togheter with the Turtles. Mutant Mayhem seems to lean towards just 2-3 years older and News intrested. So we will see where that gose, diffrent race and body. We will see if they wanna have her train to fight too.
It really dose´t seem that way. You could tell by the preview thing. This is more geared to those who growned up with Barbie, I mean maybe some kids will enjoy it but I have to see it ofcourse.
If they brought back finn i would have a solo movie where finn explores the galaxy and figures out his relationship with the force. Finn could end up with a lightsaber at the end of the movie and starting his journey as a new jedi. They could bring back jayna from the rise of skywalker to help finn on his journey. Finn could go to new planets and meet new characters in the movie. Rey could make a very small cameo in the beginning setting finn off on his journey .

500 days of summer is one of my favorite romcoms of all time. Also the first movie I watched with Joseph Gordon Levitt.
Toy Story 4 and Spider-Man : Far From Home both opened June 21, 2019 and made 100M opening weekend

Seat pricing plan has always been there in the UAE. It's surprising to see that all seats cost the same in the USA
I've never dealt with the seat thing using A-List, actually had no idea that was a thing

Nobody has ever believed for a second they don't have that number available to them, they're just very obviously bullshitting...
No trailers being shown before the 70mm IMAX Oppenheimer. IMAX have confirmed this. Prompt arrival needed.

I dont think streaming is a replacement for home video 100%. When i can watch any movie at any time, then it will replace it.
Here's something to chew on: At the last Transformers movie they hinted at a crossover with GI Joe. What about Barbie crossing over too?

Every Cinemark I’ve been to is better than AMC, if it weren’t for the fact that amc offers imax and Dolby format i wouldn’t go there
Have you noticed that most if not all the Disney + MCU shows come in at about 300 minutes all together no matter how many episodes they have.
And?
Obsessed with movie theaters 😆 lol
Cinemark luxury loungers have ruined other theatres for me. I am closer to Regal, but I go out of my way a few more miles for it.
MY PEOPLE🤦🏾♂️😂😂ray man
not going to lie, I miss the old show format
Joke was on them
The AMC in town is still general admission
Theyve been doing that program overseas for a while so they tried it here its business some things hit some don't
Thats not stupid at all. Other countries do that and it works well.
