Why Most People Suck At Holding Angles

  • Based on these results, holding an angle is not just about crosshair placement and good ping. It shows us that we can lower our reaction time if we play it correctly.
    The results should be interpreted with caution because the participants were primarily students and not limited to esports athletes.

    I noticed that I would basically "fall asleep" while holding corners
    so un consciously, i started jiggling in place and imagining some one peeking to keep my reaction time up
    i didn't know i was doing a researched backed technique lol

    • @Aimcademy_Guy
      @Aimcademy_Guy  Месяц назад +20

      Yep, same ;D
      I still don't understand how a few pros on Dust 2 can hold down the double door from T-Spawn and actually hit a shot after waiting 60 seconds. I would definitely “fall asleep” in those situations ;)

      @@Aimcademy_Guyi think it's cause of the enviroment, it's high pressure, they are always thinking that at any second someone will push that angle. I have tried keeping my trigger and brain ready for someone to pop out and it kinda works, keeps your brain working or you can just keep strafing xd

    • @Aimcademy_Guy
      @Aimcademy_Guy  21 день назад

      @@jeams6836 Yeah, it's likely that players can get used to these situations to some degree, but it's unlikely that even professionals can maintain the same reaction time after 60 seconds of waiting compared to just 1 second.
      Would be a fun investigation IMO. 😄

    If you don’t have a dedicated audio room, cover yourself with a weighted blanket (or a normal blanket), it’ll block echo and became a makeshift audio room.

    This happens faster to people with ADHD.
    Starting at anything for too long leads to the eyes quite literally unfocusing.
    Moving tends to counter it, but it's entirely possible to have the movement become auto piloted and your eyes still lose that focus.
    Not sure what fix works

    The issue isn't actually the mic itself, but the room you're recording in
    its a large empty room no?
    that creates a lot of natural reverb
    it's a cool sound effect but obviously like the others have said, it reduces clarity
    suggestions: you can just ship this video as is, except you redub/redo audio it in a different room (like a closet full of clothes, or a car)
    or you can put stuff in the current room to deflect the bouncing sound waves
    i suggest looking up "sound proofing for recording" or "improve voiceover quality"
    most microphones are good enough, i just don't want you to spend extra money for maybe no reason
    You probably have a decent mic already so don't worry too much about that
