It sounds kinda like the Hungarian minor mode I copped from a very old music book for violin
It is the phrygian dominant 5th mode of the harmonic minor scale.

Dunno if it's the chords or the scale itself but every solo sounds just the same
Because he is limited to the fact that the guitar is divided in half notes-but he is actually adding a a quarter note here and there that makes sound different
