Same problem as normal smokes. A C4 can easily shut down a rush or plant if the defenders know how to listen for sound queues properly, and running through the smoke/holos is an basically a death wish (which would usually be attackers as they’re the ones who have to enter site)
defenders dont even need to know about the specific sound, you hear someone walking near it just throw the c4, they wont even be able to see the c4 to shoot it.
they should have it ping defenders similar to alibis holograms. it makes it different from the normal smokes and also prevents ppl mag dumping and tossing a c4
Will make a useful distraction though. I can see most defenders following the direction it rolls assuming the attacker is going that way, basically you can dupe them
its a non binary op that has the gun with the same sound as jeagers smg, they pretty much gave up and are trying to copy what valorent does at this point, they couldn't even get a good hair style so the op doesnt look wacky AF

2 of them have explosive that blasts lethal shrapnel everyway destroying all your organs and one gives you a lethal injection. At least frost mats aren't as strong as real bear traps

This seems like a really good step in the right direction for siege as a whole. Typically when they add a lot of quality of life improvements they do not add a lot of content at the same time, but this update has a good balance of both. Feels good to be excited again for siege :)
I use warden majority of the time, especially for ranked. It’s not often his ability will be needed, but when it is it’s great to have it, now it will be even more useful

That was removed on purpose not because of the gonne-6 update which removed a lot of the attackers options when it came to secondaries. I doubt mozzie will change.

The POF9 kinda worries & excites me - decent fire rate, 50 bullet mag, and the acog. Only thing going against it is high unpredictable recoil - but acog with 50bullets still make it crazy.
Can’t see it differing too much than the V308 or M249 that Gridlock has. Hell, it might even be more similar to the PDW-9. They did say it was a low damage rifle so I can only assume it’s it does 40 damage or less (4/5 body shot (if not used at a target within 10 meters) depending on the armor rating with rather low ttk)
Siege is a simulation game. There was a cinnimatic trailer back then where they show you matches and I saw Caviera getting killed then walking away angry cuz she was "eliminated"

I thought console crossplay was coming in season 4. It was supposed to be early 2022 but it has been delayed to this fall. I recently got an xbox series x but I am in a low population region where most of the siege playerbase are on ps4/5. Pls hurry up with the console crossplay Ubi. I am excited for the new content 🤗
They made a post on twitter about it a while back saying it will be here in 2022, hopefully fall. They were set to release in Spring but it’s something they need to perfect before releasing. I’m waiting impatiently too lol majority of my black ice are on my Xbox account but I main on ps5

The game was never realistic, people just cherry-pick things to complain about. It’s been unrealistic in a lot of ways since launch. It isn’t a mil-sim. And they are trying to make it a more competitive, enjoyable experience. Realism is not a good balancing metric.

Take a quick 10 minutes to reflect on everything happening in a round of Siege. Operators pull giant metal wall reinforcements out of their pockets - every round of Siege technically being non-lethal “training” - & get back to us about how authentic any of it is. 😂 The projector wall is no more sci-fi than anything else currently in the game (Alibi holos, Iana holos, Yokai drones, Jackal visor, etc)
It uses the same technology as Alibi/Iana lol, the only difference is they took Ying's Candelas and slapped holos in it that deploy downwards instead of dumping flashes. We've had a dude that can perfectly pinpoint position from looking at a footprint for years, not to mention all the Ops that have some sort of cloaking (Rip Yokai cloak). Siege hasn't been "authentic" since launch lol

The only thing remotely fictitious about it is the sound wave thing, and even that can be done in real life with high decibel speakers. let ppl load into the game with a random operator if they return during the prep phase. That way the attackers havent even left spawn yet so it doesn't impact the game and the team will actually have even numbers. I dont see why they have to be there for the start of the round only

The one that sorta bugged me the most is the Russians getting the Bearing, a Japanese SMG.. doesn't really fit imo. I'd honestly prefer waiting for a new weapon that fits more, like an SR-2 for example, even if it just ended up being a reskin for the Bearing. The operators might’ve come from CTUs, but in the context of this game, they are 100% Team Rainbow... Meaning they have access to weapons from across the world & not just weapons their country/CTU.
Weapon selections in this game is a complete joke anyways, at this point it does not really matter since it's genuinely laughable. Also a guy above me mentioned that they are 100 percent Rainbow 6, but guess he never thought about still half of the operators getting the weapons that are actually used in their army.
