I found if you use the cross and get the right attacks you can two cycle (maybe 1 cycle?) the first phase. But yeah I still have not beaten the second phase because it's so god damn tedious.
@@radiosurgery1802 The best way to handle second phase is to avoid all of his charges and then when the skull is use the Thunderbird summon which is Uranus+Thunderbird card which will do alot of damage to the skull without that summon theres no way I would win this fight. You can also summon the Thunderbird to avoid the meteor attack. With the summon this fight is much easier.
I thought I was doing something wrong cause it was the same thing over and over. Whole reason I looked up this video. Terrible final boss on an otherwise beautiful game.
@Thomas B been fighting this dude for hours thinking I was missing something, I remember when I was a kid I was able to tie something to my Gameboy so I'd get xp while spinning the whip on spawning enemies. Well 15 years later it's on Xbox and I can't do that and I'm like why the hell is this so hard lol
This was the most annoying dracula that I've ever fought. I spent who knows how long fighting it. It would not hit me but I felt my hits were like throwing potatoes at it. I wasn't doing much damage to it.
Im not sure if anyone has the same opinion as I do but have you noticed that this Dracula kinda fights with the beat, rhythm, and tempo of the music. And so are the way his attacks are slightly coordinated with the music.Just saying, im not sure if anyone else feels the same way.
Ashitaka Spiegel yeah I notice I all so notice almost all bosses in this game has project attacks that follow the player making it hard like Dracula's attacks
Jeesus this is one of the most tedius bosses i have played. It shows that Iga was not designing this one. This game is allright at start and mid section but then there are really mind bogling design choises. Like tonal chance that "oh yeah, should we make the end as annoying as the nes ones? Yes."
@@moonboot. Castlevania and Dracula's Curse are not even close to some of the hardest NES games. Even if you die you still can retry the stage, you have unlimited continues, you also start at the stairs if you die in the figh against Dracula in the first game. @@franciscoalmeida9019 I wasn't referring to the game as a whole, I was talking specifically about its final boss. Of the 12 or so Castlevania games I've played, that one was probably the hardest.
You've got skillz; I can pretty much zip thru the 1st form (thought those Thunder Bats can screw you over if you're not fast enough), and 2nd form is alright, but those damn meteors are insane...I can kick his ass though (without potions).
Playing the Advance Collection for the first time and this boss nearly gave me an aneurysm. I never got any summons throughout the game, I didn't even know there were summons tbh, the cards drop so infrequently. Instead I used the rose sword and chipped away at him in the second phase. It's so fucking tedious. My least favorite Dracula fight by far.
Ahh, my first Castlevania game as a kid. I guess this game is what caused me to thrive for more challenges. This game was absolutely hard, took some level ups and some good cards to win.
Here I was hoping to find out the strat I used to beat the eye was inefficient and slow D: I really like the platform strats for dealing with phase 1 though. So many free hits on the laser attack :o FYI, I used the poison mist (jupiter + manticore iirc) against the eye instead of the orbiting ice balls that I see being recommended. I tried both and both are fine but I thought the poison mist was a bit safer. I don't have all the cards so maybe there's something better though. meh.
Playing this game again as part of the advance collection has tainted my memory of this game, I always used to claim that this game edged out Harmony of Dissonance but now that Ive played the game again without my nostalgia goggles I can safely say that Circle of the Moon is a piece of shit while Harmony is barely any better than it while Aria of Sorrow is a masterpiece
I just finished it some minutes ago. A great game it is! Now the game has rewarded me with a special magician mode to start anew, with all the cards unlocked! But I suppose anyone knows that by now, XD.
the gameplay itself is already annoying combined with very tough boss and no merchant available in game probably the most challenging castlevania i've ever played
Dracula in this castlevania ain't shit once I learned his strategies and now I can beat him everytime however it's longer but I love a good long fight so epic
The music is annoying AF. Finished it on Advance Collection, rewinding the game when hit. Used the 4 ice balls to get near the flying eye ball and threw some crosses
What a boring boss fight! The game was fun but this final boss aint fun. I had more fun dodging and jumping around in the snes castlevania and that was a tough boss fight
The second phase of this fight is really tedious and brain dead. You high jump when he rushes you, than stand at the left edge of the left most platform with poison mist and whip when the eye is in range. I managed to beat it without taking a hit.
This is probably the most impressive video these guys have done. 9 minutes without getting touched by THIS boss is a HELL of a challenge!
The second phase of second phase dracula isn't that hard to avoid. Only a klutz would get hit by him

Dracula and your epic dimensional battles....

Whoever makes these videos is just awesome. Some bosses are easier than others to play without getting hit, but THIS one would be HARD.
Notice the background. It's a glimpse of Chaos in the back, the source of Dracula's powers.

The Zombie Dragons' only healing is from one cannibalizing the other when the latter is dead.
