I was pretty happy when I saw this "duplicate" option earlier this week 😁 That's a first step indeed ! I'm hoping they will enable templates for entire workspaces in the future, along with the possibility to send a duplicate from one workspace to another !
@@DarrellaaSYes, create a template and duplicate it. I also find it strange that you can duplicate a page, but if you add a subpage that subpage cannot be duplicated either. It would also be nice to be be able to export the loop workspace and send to others or install on their system as well - I have a need for that too.
Just to add to this - Any Loop Components that are on the page you are duplicating, are still linked on the newly created page, it doesn't copy the components and create its own for the new page, rather a mirror of the original component
Not yet, no. That’s why I say near the beginning of the video that “it’s the first step to being able to create custom templates…” The template feature is beginning to appear in preview builds. So it shouldn’t be far away from general availability.
0:14 Not yet. Duplicate page is the first step towards creating custom page templates. Today, we can only duplicate a page within a workspace. But I found a helpful hack to duplicate pages across workspaces, which I step through in this video. ruclips.net/video/WrIgXOjDSpM/видео.htmlsi=FnnZ8cW9CianUuyB. I have heard that the Loop product group are working towards adding a section of the page template gallery where custom page templates can be shared with other workspace creators in your organisation.
Curious on your thoughts... loop vs Notion. I'm a big Notion user and it's strength is the databases. I rarely make actual pages and rely mostly on interlocking databases. Because of this, I can't yet find Loop useful.
@@TeacherCast, I also use Notion and am a fan of their features. I have used it for planning video content and articles, using a Kanban view for capturing ideas. Then pages within pages to plan the script and scenes. I am by no means an advanced Notion user. I can see great value in learning more and using it for more of my work. However, the growing number of ways I use Loop, integrated with Microsoft 365, allow me to share and reference things I collaborate on with team members at work. In short, I dabble in using Notion for personal projects. I use Loop for work. I aim to make a video comparing and contrasting how I use Notion and Loop.
And yet there are many early adopters using it daily with their team members for projects, ideas, drafts, decisions, knowledge management… It’s true that other similar apps are years ahead. But that doesn’t negate the value Loop already has in these early days after release.

That’s my hope too. I would like to see a community where templates can be uploaded and shared for inspiration.
Too bad it's not possible to duplicate a complete workspace and share that with someone
Hi, thanks for this. Very handy. Can we move the duplicated page to other workspaces? Thanks
Duplicating a page is ok, what we really need to be able to do is duplicate a workspace.
That would be handy. Would you like to template a workspace too? I have a need to provision project workspaces with a consistent page structure.

Still a long way to go to be on same level as Notion.

Soooo, no real templates yet, got it

that is what i am looking for
i dont have this options yet
I’m sure you will find it useful when it does arrive.
This is great, but I think I’m going to need a mentor on this one
Can we create and share a template?

The app is still many years behind to be truely useable unfortunately...
