- The Art of Micah Christenson | 300 IQ Volleyball Setter !!! Micah Makanamaikalani Christenson (born May 8, 1993) is an American professional volleyball player who plays as a setter for Zenit Kazan and the U.S. national team. He was a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games Rio 2016 and the 2018 World Championship; the 2014 World League and the 2015 World Cup winner.
He was supposed to play on the 2013 U.S. Men’s Junior National Team but got called up to the senior team instead. He debuted with the U.S. national team at the NORCECA Championship, which U.S. won; Christenson was named Best Server and Best Setter in this tournament.[2] He also competed in the 2013 FIVB World Grand Champions Cup. In 2014 he won the gold medal at the World League, held in Florence, Italy.[3] He began senior-level competition at age 20. He is the youngest starting setter to ever compete for the U.S. on a national team for both junior level and senior level.[4]
At club level, he played on the team that won 2016-2017 Superlega, Italy's top championship, with Cucine Lube Civitanova.
As of 2021, he signed a two-year contract to play in the Russian club, Zenit Kazan. Suffering only one loss in the entirety of the 2020 Russian SuperLeague in their first match against Dynamo Moscow , Kazan was able to win the first season of the Superleague.

Should have shown more of his sets to the middles. Magic Micah was brilliant during the Olympic qualifiers getting everyone involved and keeping the opposition guessing.

Is he the best setter in the world? If not who is?
I wish team USA would win something major before he retires. I'd like to be proven wrong but it's highly likely they won't considering Anderson & Holt are aging, Russell hasn't found his MVP form in the past few years, and De Falco is not a great first option. I feel like this is his glass ceiling.
Of course, I would love to be proven wrong.
Maybe u don't know USA men's national team had three Times olympic Champions
Well imo team USA is about the whole team, teamwork. They didnt have overflowing grande hitters like Poland but they’re still solid as long as Micah’s there. Last year’s VNL, they didnt have Holt and Anderson but still managed to secure the 2nd place. They’re being consistent here so lets wait for what’s gonna come up ahead. This team will definitely bring us surprises
