- Amongst the many characters in the Mahabharata, the impetuous Ashwathama comes across as a warrior lacking maturity and forethought. He often finds himself in difficult situations as he jumps headlong without assessing his capacity and strength.
once upon a time, a poor Brahmin couple is blessed with a child, and much to their shock, he comes into the world neighing like a horse! The boy, named Ashwathama, is the only child of Dronacharya and Kripi, the twin sister of Kripacharya.
Dronacharya is a great Shiva bhakt and had prayed to the god for a long time before Ashwathama was born.
The neighing sound, which resonated across the four corners of the earth, was accompanied by a celestial voice that proclaimed, ‘This is no ordinary child! He has been born with the blessings of Lord Shiva. He shall be named Ashwathama.’
And truly, the little boy is certainly not like every ordinary baby; he is born with a mani (precious stone) on his forehead, which is meant to protect him from demons and spirits.
among all his pupils, Dronacharya is highly impressed by Arjun’s potential and promises to make him the sarvashresth dhanurdhari (greatest archer).
Dronacharya also gives Arjun the knowledge of invoking and using the Brahmastra (a celestial weapon capable of complete annihilation of the world) and teaches him the secret of launching and recalling the dreaded weapon.
But Arjun isn’t the only one who he imparts this knowledge to.
One day, Dronacharya calls Ashwathama for a private discussion. Both father and son sit before a sacred fire. Though he knows that his son is impetuous, his filial affection overrides everything else and he begins to teach his son the secrets of Brahmastra.
‘Son, pay careful attention to what I am going to tell you now. Today, I am going to introduce you to the deadly Brahmastra.
‘Listen well to what I say. This is not some toy that can be used whenever you like. It is so powerful that it can burn down the universe and bring about great devastation. It can end civilisation as we know it. It should not be used to settle scores, or even to protect your life. Unless there is a valid reason, the astra should not be invoked.
‘I know that you have a terrible temper. You are very emotional and have no sense of balance. I repeat, Ashwathama. Think a hundred times before using this destructive weapon.’
After the ritual, the Brahmastra enters Ashwathama from the fire and becomes a part of his arsenal. With the Brahmastra in his possession, Ashwathama’s ego gets a mighty boost.
So many other points will be discussed here.

wonderful to listen this fact, thanks Devi Anjana ji for sharing this exclusive presentation
So nice of you
Nice video😍
beautiful
Great video ma'am but unfortunately u have given sum wrong informations here. According to the Mahabharata granth it was not Brahmastra that was used on Uttara rather it was Brahmashirsha astra that was used on Uttara the Brahmashirsha astra was the modified and more powerful version of the Brahmastra.
As u know there are many different views on same topic,
in Mahabharata serial , there was also the same view.
just bcoz of it, i explained in description box detail about credit of this story.
@@dropofbrahmand Ma'am sry to say but fake TV serial dramas r not at all authentic sources to know abt Mahabharata as TV serials r completely asked upon imaginary fictions that never show the reality in their shows in order to over glorify one character over the other in order to play with public sentiments and earn more views and unfortunately many knowledgeable people gets influenced but such fantasy TV dramas self made narrative instead of studying the authentic books of Mahabharata. U seem knowledgeable and a sensible person ma'am hence I didn't expected such an answer. Views r based on a topic after u have studied the original granth itself however whatever u said in this video won't be perceived by audience as ur view it will be considered by them as authentic information as the sad reality is that we Indian people never study our sacred granths for ourselves and rather let the fake TV serial dramas, Movies and social media informations educate us on such topics instead hence many fake rumors spread on characters and incidents from the Mahabharata and Ramayana that doesn't even exist in the actual granths themselves.
@@dropofbrahmand U can take creative Liberty on fictional novels and its characters but I think taking creative Liberty and twisting the story and characters of our sacred scriptures as per will is really disrespectful hence I always speak against TV serials based on our scriptures. Now a days u can't even trust the Puranas 100% as there has been many interpolations done inside the Puranas over tym to glorify one god over the other in them. This is the sad reality of our culture. People start to blve whatever agenda is shown or said in the social media, television dramas or movies instead of studying the granths for themselves.😔😔😔😔
@@dropofbrahmand Fake TV serials even ruined the character of Lord Indra the king of gods completely and many well known Sansthans I won't name here call him a Demi God where as in the Rig Veda Indra is a powerful God and is called the Para Brahm swaroop himself who killed the powerful Asura Vritra whom no god was able to deafeat including the Tridevas and also in almost all the Puranas except sum incidents Indra has always been portrayed as an intelligent, clever and a brave lion heart who was always the first Deva to step foot in a fight against the powerful demons whether he won or lost is a completely other topic. He even defeated Ravana and almost defeated his son Indrajita in battles. But TV serials never cover such achievements of Lord Indra and instead what they did to him in the name of their personal views can u tell me ma'am?
@@dropofbrahmand Now a days people have even started spreading such rumors that Shiv Puran was actually Vayu Puran without any proof y? Again fake social media news coz the actual Vayu Puran has many chapters dedicated to Lord Rudra i.e Shiva that's y they assumed it even though the scholars themselves already proved that both the Puranas r different yet such false narratives r continuously circulating. Hence I request u ma'am lyk I do to every other creator covering this topic plz read the scriptures before making content out of it. ThnQ.🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hello madam hope you're doing great. M still waiting for your response.

Om babaji 🙏
The next thing is that Krishna's curse was for 3000 years only not 6000 years. The devine gemstone or divya mani on his forehead as a blessing of Lord Shiva already made him immortal where it protected him from hunger, thirst, fatigue, old age, all sorts of devine entities, diseases and weapons and also it used to recover all his wounds and injuries automatically in a very short tym and all these informations r clearly mentioned in the Mahabharata granth and also in many prasidh Puranas aswell.
Next wrong information is that The 5 sons of Drupadi were killed by mistake in their sleep where as according to the Mahabharata granth they the Upapandavas died in a fair fight back in the camp when they were awake and came out of their chamber with weapons to fight after they heard the scream of dying Dhrishtadyumna.
Is this story real ??
Ofcourse
And lastly he defeated Ghatotkacha several tyms on the 14th day but failed to kill the demon everytym as Ghatotkacha was always saved by either Dhrishtadyumna or by his own magical powers.
really appreciable
i wl review it
thanks for watching
