Interesting interview and it confirmed what we already know now - DO NOT LET THE HINDUS UNITE - divide the Hindus and rule is what matters like it did in the past, nobody questions if there is anything wrong when all Muslims/Christians vote anti bjp and whether that is right or wrong but dividing the Hindu vote is what matters.. this is exactly why we’ve been ruled for hundreds of years cz of the Hindus never uniting for a cause. Doesn’t matter if the bjp is delivering to the last person or not, whether they are a democratically run organisation or not.. all that matters is that they need to be defeated cz they stand against the discrimination of Hindus in a Hindu majority country cz everyone else appeases others on their behest. In our country only a Hindu is expected to be secular and while all other religions can remain non secular cz that is freedom of religion. Rules of secularism only apply on the Hindus LoL

At the end of the day all the infrastructural projects that you have mentioned should eventually Deliver something.. Despite building all these things.. Please notice the long intervals of absence from the media. My instinct is that these gaps are when the ideas/ insights are getting formulated or germinating so to speak.

thankyou again for all three of you the hour of this interview passed in seconds.
Your audacity to stress on democracy is on another level. Just because the party you don’t like is winning don’t simply mean there is no democracy in India. BJP is winning/losing based on the public vote and they are not a monarchy like most of the Islamic countries. Seems to me, You don’t like a hindu party and that’s the end of it. You don’t really give a fuck about democracy and shit.

Hats off to Shekhar Gupta. In a single sitting I have seen Prashant Kishor's multiple interviews with Karan Thapar, Srinivasa from NDTV, Barkha Dutt and then this one. No one was able to make Prashant as comfortable as he was in this one. A lot of the others were combative and searching for headlines probably. Lessons to learn in journalism if you compare the 4 interviews...
One of the best interview.
Right questions by SG
Straight forward answers by PK
One of the best political interviews, loved every second of it.
With great power come great responsibilities #PK
This is the only interview which I have watched every moment of words. PK talks only things which matters. Print has done great job by choosing him to interview.
This was a great interview, thoroughly enjoyed it & got to learn a lot from it as well, I could also watch & would truly appreciate a 9 hour extended discussion between the three of you on Indian politics (in broken up parts ofcourse 😅) Thanks ThePrint team
Brilliant! Thank you Mr. Gupta for this engaging and eye opening interview.
We are seeing Next priminister of INDIA...
The real political scenario of past, present and future. so vividly explained by this extraordinary personality .
PK is astute, data-based and nuanced. True, Opposition needs to claim the power that resides with it. Thank you The Print for this brilliant guest.
That's why he is the most sought-after political strategist.

This interview is totally awesome.... Will be waiting for another conversation with Prashant kishore.
This is so badly taken interview. U should watch the india todays 2hrs long interview of pk.

Thank You The Print for bringing this interview. SG and PK 👌👌
Prashant Kishore's strength of understanding and clarity of analysis (and also of Shekhar Gupta's for that matter) comes from his never losing the focus from the core principles of political discourse. With that direct mooring with fundamental anchors, he can make detached analysis with greater effectiveness which can help in bringing a change in a desired direction.
Wow! Wow! Wow! This is such an amazing interview, in-depth knowledge of PK on Indian politics and his style of explaining it so clearly was on full show because the interviewers were not cutting them off!
A really good interview after a long long time. Not only from you but from any other interviewer.
Further its good to know a person and his way of thinking, leaving out many differences.
Mind blowing. Thanks to Print. Brutally honest analysis from PK. Thanks to SG as well

I must have watched this interview 4 times or more. B'coz PK's analysis is so convincing and every time, you can read between the lines. Great, great interview
Good interview, But PK is very smart- Smart enough to masquerade his bias/ ambitions as qualified political acumen.
It was my best one hour spent watching this interview. I am smitten by both PK's clarity of thoughts n the killer smile of the pretty lady.
Bro is this all u got from this video...did u not here anything he said..hypernationalism...divisions ans isolationist politics is what bjp does under the garb of democracy...what a joke

BJP not only able to deliver social benefits to poor, they also successfully implemented big infra projects and communication effectively eg. vandebharat, railway speed improvement, roads and expressway, aviation airIndia sell, army improvements etc. it’s nice to see things are getting delivered finally in India. BJP has lots of limitations but corruption at leadership is not. They addressed money need via electoral bonds. 😊
what ever bjp did any other party also did.
At the end of the day all the infrastructural projects that you have mentioned should eventually Deliver something..
Despite building all these things.. If jobs are not created, Economy is not rising.. Poverty index is bellow par..
There's a fundamental problem.

Mind blowing speech by Prashanth Kishore ji. We loved every second of it. Well said. Salute to The Print and it's team.
The best off the cuff I have seen. Simply captivating !
People might not have noticed it perhaps , Mr Shekhar asked such a simple yet very comprehensive question at first as it began as conversation gets started which the whole discussion was based on. And the space got expanded as Mr Kisore put into context, as the talked continues.
And one request to Mr Shekhar , don’t forget that you have large chunk of your audience from down South & North East 😜
Amazing. No wonder this guy has such a good success rate. One of the best off the cuff !!
PK contradicts himself. Once he says that he took clients for survival and then he says that he choses those party to work with who can give tough fight to BJP. His main fight is against BJP, he has said that himself. Now coming to his transformational ideas, his continued support to the autocrat mamata is completely against that. PK continues supporting corrupt political parties and leaders in the garb of doing it to clean politics.
He’s no doubt a very smart man but he’s hiding his real intentions. His aim is to become a kingmaker, he knows he can’t form a party of his own so he wants to fight BJP from background and take revenge from modi for not giving him the credit for 2014
Yes I think pk is very professional and at the same time he is also selfish natured. He always waits for good catch. But this smart guy has no moral ethics.
Same feeling bro
Agreed. It is as if he has a personal grudge with someone in BJP.
Wow.Whatever clarity of thought PK brings in and some very interesting observations on the political landscape.

My God, never imagined in my lifetime that I'll come across someone like PK who so well understands not only the hard numbers but also the pulse of the electoral process. We are so lucky to have him amongst us & because of him the entire electoral space might change in a few years.
PK and IPAC also worked for Shiv Sena. BJP was in alliance with Shiv Sena before the election. So, his assertion that after 2014 he hasn't worked for BJP alliance is incorrect
If u listen to his few interviews where he mentioned multiple times that he will never go to BJP for election work. His unsaid work is to defeat BJP and he is looking for right combination among opposition parties but he mention Congress has no chance to win election against BJP. Indirectly he mentioned that congress is not a serious party.

Question for PK: What would it take to build a non dynastic alternative to BJP?
Also do you agree with the violent electoral tactics employed to whip votes in Bengal by former CPM cadres of the TMC?
Why so much hate for Congress? What does a person's background have anything to do with politics. Are you saying that a lawyer's son should not be a lawyer.

Such a good interview! Thank you. I have been a big admirer of Prashant Kishore for a long time for his immense political understanding, ability to communicate & explain a point of view and most importantly his sensibility to appreciate / acknowledge the good & the bad, even if it's about an entity/party/individual with whom he differs - I think it's a great quality. And I genuinely wish, from the bottom of my heart, that some day this person joins/forms a political party, wins elections and becomes the prime minister of India.
Political advice is one thing and putting it into practice is entirely an another matter. Doubt if he would be able to win an MLA or MP seat.

Superb... You should have done a two part. This guy is brilliant
Ya I agree on the brilliant part and that one seems to never have enough of him. On PK's part though I 'm almost certain that he has nothing more to say at this point of time. In that sense the interview was comprehensive. I'm further of the opinion that he's the sort of person who takes a lot of time for his insights to formulate and only then share them publicly ; and boy does he do that with conviction. Please notice the long intervals of absence from the media. My instinct is that these gaps are when the ideas/ insights are getting formulated or germinating so to speak.
This interview is required viewing for anyone trying to make sense of Indian politics and how elections are won in India. PKs answers are surprisingly honest.
It’s clear from this interview that his true alliance is not with any one party but with “big data”. Dude is clearly a master at using data to benefit anyone willing to hire him :)
