Yes gal, coming from outta Boston, it’s been on my mind to spend much of the remaining time, that I have on earth, serving and working towards this goal. My initial vibe happened in Laos, first a fest/parade, with 30 elephants in regalia. I can’t spell the town. Secondly, closer to Luang Prabang, I spent an overnight, and day( morn) in the river, with brushes, itching and cleaning, the ele-ladies.

I was alone for this trip. Thailand has a great tourist infrastructure, so it was pretty easy to navigate the country on my own. It was a lovely experience!

The Mahout at Elephant Nature Park doesn’t teach the elephants those tasks because it’s not natural for the elephants to do them without the Phajaan! Those elephants at Elephants Nature Park are Rescued from abusing situations! From enslavement!
They are rescued elephants! Not working ones!
