I am visiting Egypt next month for a week I was going to do it on my own now I watched your video I’m worry it’ll be my first time going to that side of the world should I hire a travel company before I go? Or should I go and once in Egypt look for a travel company that can take me around and plan everything for me? I would like to visit Aswan- Kom Ombo - Edfu- Luxor and take a Nile River cruise for a few days

Won’t ever do a holland cruise ever again ! Food was horrible badly run management! But nothing against the crew they were all very helpful but badly overworked and probably underpaid and the ship was beautiful and good. Found it funny the horrible way the elevators tried to say the names of the composers !😂

Thank you the Norwegian Pearl videos as I will be onboard for a relocation cruise soon. I have opted for an inside to save money on this trip...but it doesn't look great after having a balcony on my last cruise. Agree about the Panama canal it is amazing. I spent the whole day on deck snapping away briefly pausing only to get something to eat. Costa Rica looks incredible. I really enjoyed Aruba but I took the 4x4 coastal trip to the lighthouse. Excellent uploads & insight many thanks again !

I wish I had watched your video before visiting Thailand as a tourist last year. I regret and am very disgusted with myself for being one of those tourists who partook in riding the elephant and watching them stand on their hind legs and paint for our amusement. I’m leaving for Journey to Freedom in the next few days and I’m very much looking forward to it and the learning experience. I hope to increase awareness and share with others that, like you said, elephants should be able to be observed in their natural habitat, not painting or being used for rides, etc. .

We have been on carnival cruise, and we didn't care for the music because it was too 90's for us, so we like Holland America for their music, 60's and 70's classic rock. We are the baby boomers. We liked other things too. I guess there should be a bit of both on all Carnival Cruise Ships.

We started taking HAL cruises when we were in our mid fifties, after taking our first cruises on Princess. Early in our HAL experience, we were in the younger demographic. Now, we are on the other side. And we love the three week cruises for the past twenty years. It’s certainly not for the party crowd or the amusement park people. That is certainly a plus for us it was when we first boarded our first HAL ship.

It’s very sad that all of these beautiful places are now overrun with tourists. I lived in Paris for 2 years, a long time ago, and I could walk right up to the door of Notre Dame, the chateaux - all of these places!

Very fair observations. I feel Holland America has a target market issue. On the one hand it wants to attract (somewhat) younger cruisers running 3rd and 4th passenger free campaigns, OTOH it added light jazz trios as another music option - that's country club music from the black and white movie days!
