Weirdly enough this theme, emphasises the overly competitive field of F1 than the original did. It's like the music is deliberately saying that the drivers being shown are actively fighting for their lives, like within a single season, all of them may all be revoked of their F1 seat. It's also emphasising the "going to war" vibe to it and it's very much fitting. Now that I think about it Brian Tyler's score for F1 more or less emphasises the greatness of F1 rather than its competitive nature. It's majestic, with high strings and brass, obviously emphasising the pinnacle of something, which is Formula One itself, as it is an end goal for most motorsport drivers. But the Formula E theme, despite not being the most popular open-wheel racing category or the most competitive, is saying that Formula E is another battlefield for one victor to reach greatness. As if it's the final stretch to the end goal alongside F2, which is usually true in the racing world.
F1 theme is 1000x better. You hear this first time and you like oh wow thats so cool so new, but if you hearing this 10 time in a weekend you will hate it in 2 months.
Speak for yourself only, I listen to this for 2 years since Formula E launch the new theme, and still sounds great and better than F1 theme which is outdated, they need a new one
The 2023 F1 intro is one of the worst I’ve ever seen in F1 history, and part of the reason any other song except the official F1 theme suits it better. This is a good example. The person who edited the official intro did a terrible job and hope they were fired.
Don't get me wrong, the F1 theme by Brian Tyler goes hard but this just hits different.
