Why do union people always lie lie lie? Booze is taxed 61.5% regardless who sells it. Your 2.5 billion will increase when we no longer have to pay clerks $40/hr and pay leases on al those prime location LCBO's. I believe the province may even own the building and land for many as well, those can all be sold to add to the pot as well. Its a no brainer why the LCBO is being shut down.
Before you call others liars, how about you look in the mirror and educate yourself! They do not make $40/hr! Perhaps you need to redirect your anger and realize that you would also be fighting for your job if you were in the same situation. The fact that you are wanting people to lose their jobs to make you happy is despicable! What if it was your family member or friend on the front line, would you still be so indignant! Instead of bullying and spewing non-facts, realize that it’s hard for everyone and those people want to have a job just like you and I.

Unfortunately for the LCBO employees there isn’t a pressing case for the status quo. Perhaps there will be less choice for consumers as corner stores and grocery stores probably won’t stock the less popular products, but the majority of consumers are not high end connoisseurs of fine wines and spirits. This could provide an opening for specialty stores offering “elite” alcoholic products. I don’t like to see employees lose jobs, but it’s a very common experience in today’s corporate environment and government employees are generally less affected by this occurrence compared with private sector employees.
