Thank you for the help! In my case, every fuse tested as they should. However, the 15 amp fuse was physically the wrong size. Once we replaced it, the running lights worked! 😊

I screwed with the trailer and the connection and had just made an appointment at a dealer to trace the problem in the truck when I thought I'd check U Tube. My truck was a bit newer than yours, so different panel configuration, but I found the relevant fuse and sure enough, it was blown. $1 fix. Thanks.

Originally thought it was my trailer wiring. They were getting worn and brittle. Had a neighbor plug his truck into my trailer and everything worked. So I knew it was my truck was the problem. Came upon your RUclips video and that was it. 15 amp fuse. If it keeps blowing maybe my trailer wiring is a problem LOL. But you got me going in the right direction. Thank you

I didn't need this video but I know it would help anyone who is having trailer lt issues. Your a lucky guy to have a dad that 1)is smart and2) willing to help you.
Please don't take that for granted. It is important to have a GOOD Father in a child's life, take advantage of that and always appreciate him.
Glad to see he is rubbing off on you ,by posting this video.👍🏻👍🏻

Does everyone with a chevy have this problem. I couldn't figure it out until I seen your video. The fuse is in a different spot in the fuse box on my 2000 chevy. But your video saved me so much time. Thank you, good sir.

I was just starting to go down a rabbit hole with my 2022 Silverado then I played your video. It was kind of strange how all the trailer fuses were grouped together and this one was out in left field. I usually start with running the test light down all the fuses but of course this time I didn’t 😂. Great video, you saved my sunny afternoon chasing ghosts !!!

Had a short on one of my sidelights - hot wiring to a sidelight when I connected the nonworking running lights. So I cut the wire to the sidelight, found the fuse you pointed out and it was blown :). Replaced it with one of the spare fuses in the under hood box, and, TAH DAH! Thank you so very much for uploading your video! Hope you're still around to get all these kudos...

I needed to do a delivery in the middle of the freezing cold night, I was striking out all day with just about everything. When I was ready to leave I noticed my lights didn’t work. I was like just what I needed and my dad suggested it was a fuse, I said no but looked either way on RUclips and bam found this and it was my exact issue and the exact fix. Thank you sir

If I could I would hug you!!! I was less then 12 hours from a camping trip and discovered my trailer position lights were not working. I also have a Silverado, found the fuse, replaced it and LIGHTS!! I figured it was a fuse but would never have found it so quick if not for your video....THANK YOU for making a video you probably thought no one would watch

I took my trailer to a boat shop; they looked at it but concluded that they couldn't fix it as they don't do that kind of work. So after watching your video I replaced the fuse, and then I replaced some wiring that got pinched and "Poof" it works great. THANK YOU!!

There's a RUclips for EVERYTHING! Thanks man. My trailer cord got severed when it got pinched on the ball last week and shorted everything out. After replacing the cord, I still did not have all my lights. I found a couple fuses in the panel on the side of the dash that were marked TRLR and one of them was blown. When I picked up my new trailer today, I had the same symptom you had. Turn and brake light worked fine but no marker lights. It's dark out now but I would bet a dollar that the fuse under the hood is blown and it will be a simple fix. THANK YOU!!!

Thanks, worked for me -- solved my problem with 5th wheel trailer lights not working. Replaced the 15 amp fuse on my 2004 Chev Silverado 3/4 ton diesel. A conductive wire connected to the "pins" at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on the trailer plug in turned the running lights on (indicating a blown fuse in the truck) -- the trailer has its own battery. Your posting showed me which fuse to pull and replace.

Any idea why my 2016 GMC Yukon has issues with all lights besides right turn signals?
So the trailers I pulled both had a 4 pin connection. And my truck has a 7 blade. So in order to get them hooked up, I bought a quite expensive adaptor. Two times. And both had the exact same reaction. Only right turn signal worked. Both trailer. Both adaptors.
