I enjoyed my Carnival Venezia experience when I sailed in April of this year. Decor-wise, I'd say this was the most beautiful of all the Carnival ships I've ever been on. As far as elevators were concerned, I hated them too because this was the perfect recipe for massive confusion and frustration. Staterooms and food qualities checked out during the time I went in a great way. You were right about the buffet lines as they were the worst I've ever seen. Did you have a 7:45pm seating for dinner? I had a 5:30pm one, and I didn't have an issue with services, but I did hear a lot of people complain about the 7:45 one. The Punchliner comedy club isn't for the easily offended, but I enjoyed the club regardless, even though there's the risk of getting roasted :P. Lastly, you were right about the shows not being as elaborate as Royal Caribbean. I went to the classic rock show with a date, and even though she and I sang along to the songs being performed, I felt Royal had a much better presentation of all of this.
I’ve never cruise on a carnival ship at all! So in June, I thought a Halloween cruise would be an awesome cruise to do! So this Friday, October 25 I leave New York City for 10 days on her!
I actually found that on the Venezia there was enough separation between the casino and other areas that it didn’t bother me too much. Yes, the casino itself is very smoky. But there is a (much smaller) non-smoking casino if you would prefer.
Just a simple observation… the lady in this video seems to think all the salad toppings and oatmeal topping are in the wrong order because they are before the lettuce and oatmeal. Is it possible that maybe she is directionally challenged and maybe going in the wrong direction?? Perhaps if maybe people go in the correct direction, this cruise ship might seem a little better. Once again, just a simple observation.
Thanks for the observation. I started the buffet where the plates were. But maybe you’re right - maybe I was going backwards. You’re just supposed to carry everything in your bare hands until you get to the end of the buffet where the plates are. 🙃
I disagree about the elevator. People christmas tree the elevator then get off. I hate stopping at every floor. Just mash your floor.button times, how many people who are getting off. Understand? My "7" people going to the floor
Funny you should ask! Club C and O2 (teens/tweens) were at the very end of a stateroom hallway forward on deck 3. The door was closed off and the only thing to see was a small porthole window and a tiny sign. But then, literally while we were disembarking, we discovered the “main” entrance to the kid’s club was on the stairway landing between deck 3 and 4! But we didn’t get any footage of it. For the younger kids, Camp Ocean is on Deck 11. It’s attached to an outdoor play area. It’s right below the arcade and also near the ping-pong area. There were some organized kids activities going on - arts and crafts as well as a family scavenger hunt. Plus there are a couple of nice waterslides and a good splash zone. Overall I’d say the Venezia is pretty kid-friendly.
Everything that I enjoy is soook far from every. Lots of walking. Ppl policing everything. Missed bermuda and road around the ocean for 7 days. The casino is small too.
What is ‘luxurious’ about Carnival? That’s not wood and you are using the words cramped, cloth shower curtains, sucky lifts, pasta bar and pasta (like joints back home), not good buffets, disappointing service, waiting in super heat, ridiculous wait times, weird timing, or scheduling, not THAT bad. Tacos, burgers, pasta and deli food are DECENT…. WOW! My town has better on Main Street-- not that impressive, ehhh? I guess that does describe Carnival’s version of luxury! But their chairs fit in private coves with fake greenery? Simulated TV wall of Venice, sort of… Cruising for a ropes course and mini golf--again luxury! Poor kitchen staff, to boot! Game shows! Unelaborate shows! Get off that ship and enjoy the ports!

It was a little on the hot side in the cabin. I’ve noticed the newer ships usually keep the rooms warmer.

I cruised on that ship in October. Beautiful ship but I hated it!! Hated every minute. No fun! 7 day cruise and the worse experience!
