    For the first puzzle I was thinking counter catcher up rotom, attach reversal to baby gardy, super rod back in the gardy ex at the top of the discard pile and attack w/ big gardy

      The thing with this content, I would actually have to check my opponent's discard to make a judgement.

      This is a good approach, but what if you get ionod and then whiff gardex?

  • @iansunders9108

    for the second one you do need cards in your deck to thin so you need to play super rod or pal pad before thinning

    Can you play level ball, fog crystal and ultra ball when you’re decked out? It’s public knowledge that there’s no targets in the deck, right?

    • @leokiralla4449
      @leokiralla4449 7 месяцев назад +2

      You can't, but could pal pad first and then burn all those cards

  • @jakegearhart
    @jakegearhart 7 месяцев назад +2

    In the first puzzle, Charizard’s best play is to knock out Kirlia with Counter Catcher Radiant Charizard, in which case it’s possible to miss the Boss’s Orders in the sequence you played out. But if you play more cards on the first turn, it’s possible to guarantee you’ll draw Boss’s Orders off of just one Ability thanks to the Pal Pad and Ultra Ball (Boss either ends up still in the deck, or you UB + Pad it back).

    • @RowanStavenowTCG
      @RowanStavenowTCG  7 месяцев назад +1

      Good catch! I didn’t consider that this removes an additional draw support Pokémon.

    For the second one, the route that popped into my head was to mainly play around shining arcana gardies. By thinning all of the clutter from hand, and using ultra ball to get rid of zacian and cress, and using super rod into double arcana to get three energy on board, and also attach one for turn so that there's 2 on each arcana. Then keeping boss. By having two stadiums, boss, pal pad, you're guaranteed to see all cards in deck off of a Roxanne path, and won't have to use refinement to toss something away. Could be missing something ofc, but that's the first thought that came to mind

    • @RowanStavenowTCG

      It’s hard to have everything visible at once while keeping the video concise. I’ll see if I can come up with something for the next video.

      @WaterForMySoul 7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah the big thing missing that I dont think you specified was how many energy were in the discard. Still, thanks for doing these! I played a 58 card net-deck Garde to league last night and went 3-1. My loss was because I benched Zacian when I had Collapsed out with a full bench so I just scooped

    Such puzzles can help a lot ig, thanks! I still tend to make lot's of simple, avoidable mistakes (not thinning out my deck before drawing cards when I need sth specific, even attacking a Bidoof on my opponent's bench) just bc I tend to not have the best overview over the current state for now. Love the content!

    I really like this kind of video, as someone who wants to get better at playing competitively. I hope to see more in the future. Also, I'm pretty sad at what's gonna happen to Gardy post-rotation. Curious to see what deck will be similar to Gardy in terms of playstyle and complexity

  • @KirbTCG

    Great video: In puzzle 1 could the opponent not Counter catcher, Iono Pass. and if you don't find Pal pad into turo they can collapsed and turo the zard and rotom away and then gust stall the bench? Defiantly a long sequence but the oppo has a 6 card hand after drawing with rotom seal stone, (maybe?) It's most likely
    fake but curios if I missed something?

  • @professoroaksparadise1490

    On the Garde vs Tina puzzle should you not burn the Rod to put an energy in deck to keep the same number of cards but also make it to where you can retreat if they counter catcher stall since you can’t turo and boss?

  • @Aegis128
    @Aegis128 2 месяца назад

    for the first one, what if you cc up the pidgeot, get another arcana on board, kill pidgeot, then kill zard the next turn with arcana or zacian? I guess iono cc kill gardex kinda messes with it

  • @miguelfernandes9215
    @miguelfernandes9215 7 месяцев назад

    Thanks, I needed this. I'm missing a few cards on tcg live so I can't make all those plays (and I'm not going o buy them to use on a deck that is rotated out next week) but it gave some insights
    Seeing that Giratina play, how did it happen? Gardevoir Ex attacked baby Tina, then the vstar came and knocked out that garde ex and then you evolved your second gardevoir onto the bench?
    I don't usually attack with the ex unless I KO but maybe I should start to!

    • @adamtong7181
      @adamtong7181 7 месяцев назад +3

      Ya i don't think you can use ultra ball with 0 cards in deck. The actions would probably be the same, just in a different sequence. Pal pad first 1 card. Then ultra ball.

    • @spoonsquadptcg
      @spoonsquadptcg 7 месяцев назад

      @@adamtong7181are you able to ultra ball into a 1 card deck after having used pal pad and revealing to your opponent what the exact contents of your deck is? it would seem that its public knowledge that you have no valid target

  • @PenguimSAL

    in the first puzzle, could I have setup another gardy ex with super rod ultra ball and attack with reversal arcana + counter catcher for zard to get 2 prizes + bench zacian before?

    • @PenguimSAL
      @PenguimSAL 7 месяцев назад

      By the way, I might be stupid, but on the third puzzle couldn't you just boss the kirlia? if they ko active with ex you have enough (5 cards in deck, 1 iono, 1 top deck, 2 refinement and the fog crystals can help take out the zacian out of the deck if everything goes wrong. can't this also work?

    • @adamtong7181
      @adamtong7181 7 месяцев назад

      If you're talking about also turoing the ex and leaving the last kirlia open for ex, then it could get bossed and you would have no way to set up another ex since you have no more rare candies. If you leave ex on board and not turo, then you could lose game if it gets bossed.

    • @adamtong7181
      @adamtong7181 7 месяцев назад

      For first puzzle, I think that's doable. There are many outs depending on what the opponent does and being able to super rod lumineon back in to find boss helps with that.

    • @RowanStavenowTCG
      @RowanStavenowTCG  7 месяцев назад

      @@PenguimSALyeah the fog crystal thinning makes this play possible!

  • @Tynur1120
    @Tynur1120 7 месяцев назад

    The third puzzle had a slight flaw? If they iono with your one prize remaining, and you draw the one boss you put in deck from that iono, they pass and you lose to deck out. Probably just put the iono you also discarded back in the deck in case they do that. Then refinement should find that boss even if its at the bottom and they don’t iono. Let me know if this is wrong but thats what I saw

    • @adamtong7181
      @adamtong7181 7 месяцев назад +2

      You still have cards in your hand so you can't deck out from opponent iono. Pal pad just the boss back into the deck ensures it is the one card you are guaranteed to draw off turn or off iono if the opponent ionos.

    For puzzle 2, since we want to guarantee win next turn, do we want to attack with gardy ex preferably? With the exact situation here it seems to make no difference since we can draw our whole deck, but I guess I was wondering as a rule of thumb it just seems optimal to keep more draw power on board

    • @TheArcv2
      @TheArcv2 7 месяцев назад
